    1. I guess i care about the face much more than the body. The face is what i'll be looking at everyday but the body can be covered by cloths and all. Beside, i could always get another body for my lovely head so i usually would not bother to look at the body a lot.

    2. Head mold is more important to me, and although the bodies of my dolls may have some quirks, there are aspects of those bodies I really love. Easy to please, I guess. If I really loved a doll and hated the body, I'd buy the head and body separately.

    3. The body is really important to me, because the body can make the difference between a face looking like it's 13 and looking like its 20. I'm more than willing to mismatch bodies and heads to get the look I really want.

    4. The face is a little bit more important to me, but I do care about the body mold ALOT.
I think body sculpt shapes the doll as much as the face does, giving the character the same intensity and such. Still, I think that the face is more important because bodies can, and usually & naturally, be covered in clothing.

    5. The head is what catches my attention first, but I'm starting to look more at the bodies now that I have a few floating heads. I found out that I don't like the new MNF bodies, so there goes that idea for what can go with my Juri heads. :D Now the fun will be finding two bodies that match Fairyland's resin while still looking good with the heads.

    6. I care mostly about the face but if I don't like the body I start to look into hybrids. If I can't do that I wonder if I really want the doll. :'D With Tima I had a choice between double jointed and single but chose single because I liked the soulkid general body's look better. Even if it can't pose worth crap mostly >_>

    7. When I chose my boy his body was just as important as his head, to the point where I happily sacrificed a bit of potential posability. I have a thing about elegant legs, and I find so many doll bodies have iffy legs with either ugly knees, calves that are too skinny, chunky ankles ect. I also don't like them looking like they've been in the gym too long, pretty heads on muscular bodies just doesn't work for me 99% of the time (I make an exception for the big beefy Iplehouse boys :fangirl:)

    8. I care about both equally, but I'm more cautious with heads. I find that it's easier to fall for "window dressing" in head sculpts since they are generally displayed with lovely faceups.

Romwell-Jr: I'm the same way, the delicacy in legs, and detail are so important that I'm willing to give a little on posability.

    9. With the ability -- to some extent -- to swap around bodies and heads, I consider both equally important, but went with 'face more' since I know it's always the face that initially draws me in. If I -really- dislike a body, I may pass on buying a doll entirely or let it slide further down the wishlist, especially if there isn't an option to buy the head alone or a body that will be compatible and will suit my needs. I know, though, that if the face doesn't appeal to me on some level I don't even really investigate further to see if I like the body unless I'm looking specifically for a body at the time. I prefer to buy complete dolls at this point, with the exception of Minimee heads, so there have been a few things I've passed on since one or the other, head or body, simply hasn't grabbed me, that I might have considered if I was more interested in mixing parts at this point.

    10. To me, the body has to at least match the character I'm aiming for. Sometimes it just doesn't really matter to me, but for some dolls it does. Which is why I put down the extra money for the type 2 bodies on my DoD dolls.

    11. I think that even though I am more interested in facial sculpt on the whole, the body is very important. I may love a face, but I won't invest money in a doll with a hideous body...but neither would I buy a doll with a mediocre face and an amazing body.

I think the body also has to fit the character you have created, I did want a Soul-Double girl body for my Lishe head but I thought the DDII body would suit her better, so I went with the DDII instead. I already have a girl on the Souldoll body, so it would be strange for me to have two dolls with the same poses and exactly the same hands.

    12. I care about the face more.

I do care about the body a lot, but mostly about its size, not the sculpt. I love Volks SD10 boy bodies, even though I don't like their tiny penises and childlishly fat bellies-- but I love the hight and it's the most important for me. The proportions between my dolls are *very* important to me-- a much younger/more delicate character has to be smaller, and not just 2cm.

    13. I care about the face most, by far. Most of my dolls have multi-layered, fancy period garb, so the body sculpt gets obscured by clothes on top of clothes. I suppose if I dressed them differently or had more occasion to see the body, I would feel differently. As things stand now, the body sculpt just doesn't matter to me, except for details like hands, which are always visible. As long as it holds a pose and is size-appropriate, that's all that matters to me.

    14. I find that I am terribly particular about the body sculpt. I look at my dolls with an artists attention to line, so even if the body was under layers of clothes (which mine can often be- she has a Victorian streak) I would still know in the back of my mind what sculpt was under there. I want the choice of admiring her no matter how she is dressed, or even if she isn't!

For my first doll, I was originally contemplating an Elfdoll, but I didn't like the look of the new body. It does have nice curves to the legs, but the cleavage in the 'bra without a bra' pose bothered me on a fundamental level. Heh. I still looooove the Hazy head, and toy with the idea of buying her, but the body puts me off. :doh

I discovered Iplehouse, and instantly fell in love with the body sculpt. :aheartbea It's so graceful! From there I chose my doll based on the heads available with that body.

I don't know if I could buy a doll with a body sculpt I didn't like. I'm leery of mixing and matching as of yet, as it would drive me crazy if the resins didn't match head to body. :sorry

    15. The face to me, is rather important. It's what draws you in.
However, it can be the body that repels you.
So, while I voted the face is more essential then the body, I'd have to settle with the fact that both face and body are created equally (haha). Both are deal breakers, but both are also deal makers.

    16. For me, both the head and the body are more or less equal. Since it might look a bit strange with a pretty-boy face on a strong male body, I'd prefer bodies that matched with the heads and vice versa. And like someone said before, if the body is really REALLY cheaply made, I wouldn't go for it. Quality is good, I suppose? xD;

    17. I personally care much more for the head sculpt. That may change with time but right now I've been choosing which dolls I like by only looking at their heads. :)

    18. Both! Has to have the right face and the right body! Sometimes I think a face or a character just look right on a thin, willowey body, others need a beefier body to seem right, ect. Though it's not normally to hard to mod doll heads to fit on other bodies, if they even need modding, so it's not often a major issue I think.

    19. I do care about certain aspects of the sculpt. Im more particular about bodies. I don't want them to be too overly masculine. Nor do I want them to be shapeless.

    20. For me, the face is more important in the end. The body does mean a lot to me, but it's just I wouldn't buy a doll for the body if I didn't like the head. I may buy a doll if I love the head sculpt, but the body is only okay. I have gotten pickier about bodies though, and they are not okay with me when the proportions are bad or they can't pose at all.
