1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How Old Are You?

Feb 26, 2014

    1. 15 in may, it was my... 13th birthday when I bought my first doll~ It's almost his 2nd birthday! ^ - ^

    2. I started collecting BJDs when I was 25 and I'm going on 28 now.

    3. I will be 21 at the end of December and I've idolized BJDs since I was 14. I will hopefully soon get my first doll. You can never get too old for hobbies.

    4. I'm 25 and I got my first doll when I was 16, almost a decade ago o_O
I've always owned at least one doll since then, but I'm not always actively participating in the hobby. So many other things to do! But I always return to my little ones <3

    5. I'm 16, but I was 15 when I purchased my first BJD.

    6. 28! And dolls can you bring you joy no matter your age! :D

    7. 28 as well. ^_^

    8. im 25 and looking forward to collecting some beautiful bjds. its lovely to see so many of you have been collecting these beauties for so long!
i think that these dolls are a wonderful form of art and i do believe there is no such thing as too old or too young for any form of art.

    9. I'm 46 & have been collecting dolls most of my life :) I've only been collecting BJDs for past 8 months.........I never knew they existed until I accidentally came across them on another forum :blush

    10. I'm 36. I have been collecting Asian dolls since 2005 and received my first BJD 6 years ago when I was 30 years old. :) She's the one in my avatar and I still love her!

    11. I will be 23 this fall... and I've been into BJD's since I was 16, bought my first when I was 16 too.

I first found out about them at 14, but because of how prohibitively expensive they were at the time (my allowance was $9 a week!) I talked myself into forgetting about them. But two years later, I was back to stay. <3

    12. 20, but I found out about bjds some time in 2006...it's too long ago for me to bother with math haha. I've owned my first full bjd in 2009; I recently started my collection over and now I have a MNF on the way. (: I don't remember how I afforded dolls before I started working. I didn't have a allowance, I think I saved birthday money.

    13. I'm 20. I've only recently officially jumped into the hobby. ^^ I don't believe that a person can become too old for this hobby, though I must say it's a bit harder to acquire BJDs at a much younger age... I know it's been said but this hobby seems to be more for those who are older. Especially the modding part with those tools and chemicals. ^^

    14. I'm 17 now, and I was 16 when I got my first doll. In my opinion age doesn't really matter as long as you're responsible enough to take care of them properly :) so I don't think you can ever be too old!

    15. 34 now, and discovered BJDs at age 32. I would have got some earlier if only I'd known about them earlier :p.

    16. For me no one is too old when they are doing what they love. I'm 24! horaay!

    17. I'm 15 and I started only this year....Age doesn't matter to me though

    18. I'm turning 27 this year, e.e; I honestly don't think you can ever be too old for dolls, my great grandmother was 102 when she died and still had dolls (I inherited some of her dollhouse furniture actually, and its just waiting for a puki to come claim it XD). I mean, barbies, yea, I feel there's a bit of an age limit unless you get those limited ones, but bjds... You don't generally get them til you're an adult anyway, or at least a teenager, so why should there BE a limit to the age where its "ok"?
