1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How Old Are You?

Feb 26, 2014

    1. Hi everyone!
My name is Miku and I'm 24 years old. Turning 25 on May 15th! :)

I am a doll owner of two dolls and I love this community! I am going to my first doll meet up this weekend. ;D

    2. I come to increase our average. I'm 40 years old. ...Old? Never!! :)

    3. 29 turning 30 :D pretty new to the hobby

    4. I'm 22 years old and just got really into the hobby this year. And I don't think you're ever too old for dolls, or any hobby for that matter.

    5. 33... and only started 1,5 years ago <3

    6. I'm Ash, I've been in this hobby for about 3 years now and I'll be 25 this fall. I love the age ranges and as it's been said many times before already, I believe we've proved you can never be too old for dolls :)

    7. Nobody is too old for BJDs! I'm 32 and I've got my first doll last year.

    8. 24 going on 25, peripherally intrigued for many years, got my first doll....2 years ago now? And then made the mistake of getting a "grown up" job so now there's eleven more in various states of order or homecoming. Whooooops. Somehow I don't think I'm "growing out of" this phase any time soon. XD

    9. I'm 18 years old (turning 19 next week...) and I have been in this hobby for, um... 3 or 4 years now? : D But I only had my first doll since last summer! ^^ I think this hobby is so great that anyone at any age can be part of it!

    10. I'm turning 26 next month, and have been in the hobby for about 9 years. A lot has changed since I got my first girl!

    11. Turning 30 next month agh! I've been in the doll hobby for 10 years (holy crap...) and I'm buying myself two dolls for my birthday :D

    12. I just started, and I'm 24. ^^

    13. I just started (after a few years of wanting to) and I'm 20, 21 in July.

    14. I am 48:)
Got into BJD about 9? Years ago...my first doll was (the first) Souldoll Katie.
Many resin kids have come and gone....but I am now buying much less and with the idea of not reselling.
I think have 15? BJD now of all sizes. My oldest is my Unoa Sist, she was first release of 1.5.

    15. I've played with dolls ever since i was little and i still do. Because of what i study, Fashion, getting into this hobby when i was 18 was so exciting because i could create things for them which is what i love doing. I also honestly cannot see me being disinterested in this hobby and don't think there is an age which is considered to old for it. My grandmother which is getting on now still loves dolls :) If it makes you happy to it!
I'm having my 21st in a few months and not sure weather to do a doll for it or not! It makes me wonder how many i will have over the years.

    16. I'm turning 24 this August. It's weird, I was never into dolls. I grew up playing with Hot Wheels, haha... Got into this about a year ago, but I've been eying Dollfie Dreams for a couple of years before that. It's hard shuffling money between this hobby and cars >_<

    17. i'm 22, will be 23 in october! i had some other dolls when i was younger but only when i was 19 did i start collecting again. i love that this hobby is for everyone, i am never too old for dolls :)

    18. I'm turning 36 in another week. Started collecting at 32. Never too young or old. It's a creative outlet I think ;)

    19. ^_^ 57 as of April 11, 2014, and I've always loved dolls. Especially jointed, articulated dolls. Sadly, the plastic articulated types that were basically all that was available when I was a kid, and as a teen, were pretty disappointing. Lol, I even tried to talk my parents into buying me one of those expensive wooden artists models, because I liked the way the joints worked, the range of motion they had and the poses those wooden models could achieve. They seemed far superior to the few plastic articulated dolls that were around.

I didn't discover BJDs until 2004, when I saw some from a distance. It was at an anime con, and someone in Artist's Alley had them posing on their table. The table was crowded, and I was headed to the dealer's room with my friend, so I never got a good look at them, just enough to tell that they were jointed and could hold some incredible poses! I really wanted to see them up close, and find out more about them, but by the time I managed to get to Artist's alley the dolls were nowhere to be seen. I wasn't even sure which table they had been at. :(

Then in 2005 someone in an anime forum I belong to, posted about "these incredible dolls she'd discovered on this website". She posted a link to the site, and All it took was one look! ^_^

I don't think a person is ever too old, for anything. Be it BJDs, Anime and Anime cons, or skydiving, if it's something you find pleasure in, if it is something you enjoy, then go for it heart and soul! :)

    20. I'm 28!
I never liked dolls as a child, but as an adult I do.... who would have called that one?
I'm sure I'm not the only person like that here! xD
