1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How Old Are You?

Feb 26, 2014

    1. I'm 17 and I've been in the hobby for a little more than a year now.

    2. I was 33 when I bought my first BJD, I think. Now I am 41. I was never into dolls, only figurative sculpture, but the allure of these new "affordable art dolls" was too strong to resist.

I don't really feel a particular age since my friends have always been a fairly broad range. You realize that it's not about feeling "adult" it's more about feeling confident that when something happens, your reaction is more and more often going to be, "Oh, I've seen this before."

    3. Im 30 and turning 31on the may 24. I got my first bjd girl feb of last year.

    4. I turned 30 this year. :...(

    5. I'm 33 and yet I'm new to this hobby.

    6. I'm 25, I pondered about getting into this hobby for about a year before ordering my first doll last November.

    7. I started in this hobby when I was 18 years old, I got my first doll few months after I turned 19. Right now I'm 26. ^^

    8. This thread is an interesting read :)

I came to know about BJDs in high school but I only got my first doll when I was 24. Turning 26 this year and dollie family expanded to 3 girls :fangirl:

    9. I started collecting bjds when I was 18 and now I am 24~

    10. I started in this hobby at 19 and now I am 23 (turning 24 next month).

    11. I started liking bjds when I was 15 but didn't start collecting until I was 24 I think I am now 28!

    12. Oh boy, I bought my first doll when I was 15, and I'm turning 20 in a couple of months. Instead of growing out of it, the hobby seems to have grown with me!

    13. Bought my first bjd at age 56. I am 60 now and have over two dozen.

I have no intentions of stopping and have left instructions as to whom they shall go to when I pass on.

    16. I'm 19 years old, turning 20 in September. :)

    17. I'm at the age where you can't(or don't want to) remember your age anymore...:P I'm 28 and got into this hobby when I was 18...time passes by so fast:...( it is good to see all ages in this hobby though! from the youngest to the older, BJDs are for everyone <3
