1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How Old Are You?

Feb 26, 2014

    1. I'm twenty-five but I learned about this hobby at the end of high school. My interest did not spike until early last year and I finally ordered my first doll. I was so happy and so new. However had I known what I know now about this hobby I might have thought twice about that purchase. Tumblr posts scare me.

    2. I was 18 when I first discovered BJDs. My interest in them came and went over the years, and admittedly Tumblr posts have scared me off numerous times. I'm 24 now, and I have my first doll coming in a month or so. I can't wait!

    3. 22 years old, coming on 23! :D I started collecting last year.

    4. 17 years old, but I got my doll when I was 14. : )

    5. I am 24 and super new to this, but I'm really happy to see so many people in my age range. I figured it was probably the case, as it is sort of an expensive hobby, but still happy to confirm it. :D

    6. I was 17 when I first discovered dolls...I'm 27 now!! I'm actually surprised (and pleased!) how many people are around my age!

    7. I am 43 and received my first bjd last year from my husband. I have always loved dolls and still have my Sindy and Pippa dolls from the 70's.
My daughter is 4 and she has her own msd size doll which she chose for herself. If its something that you get enjoyment from age does not matter.

    8. I'm 24. I don't consider myself too old for this but I don't know, maybe later I will have another point of view... (I'm not a big doll collector, I prefer making my own dolls for others).

    9. I'm 23. It's so nice to see that so many people are in my age range :)

    10. I am 56 years young.

    11. I'm going to be 61 on June 27th, I have been playing with dolls all my life and still do! Never too old to play with dolls!

      :wiggle

    12. I'm 34, I discovered BJDs years ago, right out of high school. I loved them then, but I thought I was too old. I tried to forget about them and even did for awhile. After I rediscovered them, I knew I had to have one...or 20..but who's counting? I'm pretty sure I won't ever give up the hobby. I love everything about it.

    13. I'm heading towards my 33rd birthday, and didn't even know BJDs existed till last year. I'm so happy I found out about them.

    14. I started collecting when I was 16, and I'll be 23 this year. Time sure flies LOL

    15. I first learned about BJDs when I was around 15, but couldn't imagine myself spending so much on a doll. I spent a lot of time staring at them, but never got past that. I am 22 this year, and finally got my first BJD last month! I am so happy and pleased, and am glad I waited. I don't think I would have been able to appreciate the doll as much as I do now, had I bought it in my younger years.

    16. I started my hobby last year when I was still 23. Now...in this September I will turn to 25. (O.O) Time passed too fast. I wonder what will happen to me and my dolls after 10 years??!

    17. I'm 39 and have been collecting dolls for about 6 years. But have been neglecting them for some time. So to change that I am working on one dolly at a time. You know face-up, clothing, furniture. Trying to find their personality and style.

    18. I was 16 when I first discovered BJDs, 17 when I ordered my first one (about 2 months ago) and I'm turning 18 in less than a month (which I keep forgetting and it's a little surreal :sweat)!

    19. I was fifteen when I first found BJDs, 16 when I got my first. I'll be twenty this December and now have 6. It has been a journey and who knows what the future will bring.

    20. I had been really interested in the hobby since I was maybe 13-14? I bought my first when I was 18 and I'm turning 20 in December *_*
