1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How Old Are You?

Feb 26, 2014

    1. I'm 18, turning 19 in a few days! :D

    2. I'm 25, 3 weeks away from 26! :) I've been in the hobby since I was 18.

    3. 31, turning 32 a bit later this year. I may be growing older, but I refuse to grow up!

    4. I'm 25 this year and started this hobby when I was 16-17... I don't remember. Good to know the age range is wide :)

    5. Going to be 18 in a few months :0
definately don't think anyone's too old to enjoy something

    6. Im 24! Been collecting for a while now.

    7. I got my first BJD and joined this board at the tender age of 17. After a long hiatus, I'm back again at 25. As for outgrowing dolls... considering the type of dolls we're talking about here, I think only working adults would be able to afford them in the first place :sweat

    8. I have just turned 50! My hobbies keep me young and I don't think I could of afforded a BJD if I was younger and my lads were still at home :aheartbea

    9. 21, but 22 in a month (woo!)
Personally, I don't think anyone can be too old for a hobby that makes them happy and doesn't harm anyone.

    10. How dare you ask for a lady's age? D:

All kidding aside, I believe I'm 27 years young at the moment? No own children at the moment but perhaps one in the near future which I hope won't interfere with my BJD hobby and my beloved dog. Still not sure if I'm adult enough to raise any, haha~

You can never be too old or too young for dolls though so I love the fact that there are people of different ages here.

    11. I am 42 this year and have been collecting BJD for about 10 years, I also collected other dolls since my teens so have been 'playing' with dolls a very long time. I don't think you are ever too old or too young to do what interests you.

    12. I'm 32 and I got into the hobby a couple years ago. I always thought of doll collecting as something children or older women did. When I went to a meet I was super happy to see women and men in their teens, 20s, 40s and 50s collecting them too. :)

    13. I'm 23.I think there's no such thing as too old for collecting dolls or dressing in a different way, have a different hairstyle, etc.s long as it makes you happy, age, weight, gender, style doesn't matter at all.

    14. I'm 22 and I believe I purchased my first BJD when I was... 20 years old?

    15. Im hmmmm how old an i?!?! Oh im 22 sorry i always forget my age :P in my family we have the saying the day you stopp playing is the day you die so i dont belive i will ever grow up nor out of playing with dolls have hade intrest in bjds sens 2008 and got my first 1,5 year ago well it will be 2 dec 14th :3 have to get her a B-day present ooooh what to get what to get:dance

    16. I'm 24 and I can never get to old for this hobby

    17. I'll be 60 in a couple of weeks. I've been collecting bjd's for around five years but collecting antique dolls since I was 21. We did a poll on another bjd forum I belong to and most members were in the 50-59 year age group. It seems from reading everyone's posts here that the average age is around 28/30 years old. I agree that collecting dolls is multi-generational and I love meeting the young collectors as well as people my own age.
Everyone brings something to the table.

    18. Im 26 years! I think it doesnt matter about age if you feel happy with ur dolls!

    19. I'm 19 and I think I'll still be playing with dollies when I'm older!

    20. I just turned 35 but I have been told by everyone I said this to in person that it is I possible. No one beliewes me. I look like I am in my early twenties. I am very small and skinny and live in a perpetual sugar high. In my twenties I got into movies as a child.:dance I am told it is my Egyptian genes. You should see my 85 year old grandmother! In her 60s people thought she was my aunt.
