1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How Old Are You?

Feb 26, 2014

    1. 20 over here!
I'm looking at the BJDs in an artistic point of view. They're hand-crafted works of art and I've always wanted a piece of art!

    2. I just turned 29 this year. I will never be too old for dolls.

    3. I am 39 and I know I will never be too old for dolls (people said dolly love would faint if I would get children. Now I have 2 children and two cats, and still love my dolls)

    4. 39 and I'll never ever be to old for dolls. If you were born in the 80s I have toys older than you.

    5. 46 yrs and started this hobby about one year ago.

    6. I'm 34 years old and new to this hobby.

    7. I'm 34 and has been playing BJDs for 4 years. :)

    8. 21- i've only just started collecting, but i wanted a BJD for about 5 years before that! :)

    9. I'm 18, turning 19 this month. Since I don't have any source of income right now(still studying), I guess it's justifiable that it's taking me a lot of time to save up for my first BJD :D

    10. I'm 25 this year and I got my first bjd in 2012

    11. I'll be 22 in a month!

It was a good two years before I finally got my first BJD after falling in love with these dolls! I was 20 when I got mine. But now that I have a part time job while I go to school it makes it a little more feasible (only working 4 hours a week though? so it'll take me awhile, heh). You can do it!

    12. I know how hard it is to save money when you have nothing to obtain it from :( Im 21,still studying, and now it is hard in Spain to get a job. However I try to be patient, waiting to have enough to buy my second doll >< I started at 16-17, and I spent all I had then on my first one.Didnt regret anything :P

    13. 22 as of three weeks ago! Got my first when I was 16

    14. I'm 22 years old myself ~

Aaand nope! I don't think one can be to old for this hobby :3c.

    15. Some of my favourite DOA members are in their 60s~ you can never be too old

    16. 18 years old and waiting for my first doll. (> w <,,)

    17. I'm turning 30 in a few months. I love this hobby! It isn't ''just'' dolls, it's love, creativity, expression, compassion and friendship. You can't ever be too old for that.

    18. 22 and ordered my first BJD yesterday! I've been collecting Monster High for over a year though and have a good number!

    19. I'm 17, so still quite young. Sadly, I haven't gotten my first doll yet. I've saved enough, but I think it's best if I save a little longer and wait.

    20. I'll be 23 tomorrow.
You only get too old for something if you allow that idea to rule you.

I've seen people over 60 in this hobby. Nothing wrong with that.
