1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How Old Are You?

Feb 26, 2014

    1. I am 25 and have known about BJDs since I was 17, purchasing my first doll at 18. I've been in and out of this hobby for the past few years, but hope to really get back into things with a new doll in the works. I don't see myself ever leaving this hobby permanently as I've grown so attached to them now.

    2. You can never be to old for dolls imo. I´m gonna turn 26 in less than a month.

    3. I am 20 years old. I found about this hobby when I was 19.

    4. im 37 and I started collecting dolls when I was 34 and got my first bjd a few weeks ago :) I wish Id started much sooner though!

    5. I turned 26 a few days ago and I started this hobby 2 years ago
I don't think there is an age limit or anything
Well except they're not for kids of course lol
Adults probably enjoy them more because they work hard to get them and collect them

    6. I just started this hobby a few months ago, and I will be 18 in a month! I'm currently saving up for my first doll and can't wait to really get into this hobby! <3

    7. 21. I would love to see a poll done on this.

    8. Im 33 and i think we're not too old of any hobby, as long as we like it, enjoy it, happy with it, and can have fun with it :)

    9. Just started this hobby and turning the big 50 next year. I don't think there is an age limit.:dance

    10. I started this hobby when I was 8. Now I'm 15, going on 16 :sweat. Time flies when you're having fun! No matter how old or young you are, nothing should stop you from enjoying what you love.

    11. I got my first doll this year and I'm 22. (I actually kind of got it for my birthday!) But I've known about the hobby since I was 17. I didn't really start doing research to buy one until two years ago.

    12. Turned 29 in July, I will be playing with dolls when I'm old and wrinkly.

    13. You are so lucky to have started so young! Congrats on your seven years in the hobby! I will definitely agree with your statement though. I might have been actively participating ever since 2011 here but time just goes by so very fast!

    14. Im 25. and Im happy to be this age. I started loving them hen I was 16 but I didnt have the money to buy a doll. that hurts T.T

    15. i'm 16 , and i fell in love with b.j.d's about 5 years ago but still don't own one :...(

    16. I am 60 years old and bought my first doll SD10 Megu in 2002 (12 years ago). At that time Volks' heads did not have name plates. The hobby and dolls has changed a lot since then. It was harder to get dolls, I had to do through a deputy service. A lot less people knew about the hobby, there were less companies, but less competition to get dolls. I only knew about Volks. It was really nice when Volks had their events in Los Angeles.

Before Den of Angels, I belonged to another group and then DOA was started by Aimee and Janee. It seesm like a very long time ago.

    17. 34, and planning to stay in the hobby for a long, long time. :)

    18. hi :) i'm 19 going on 20 and fell in love with bjds 6 years ago , the first doll I've ever seen was a Luts Howl and he made me fall in love with them and after that i just kept looking for more sites and then the lits of doll i wanted kept growing lol :dance

    19. I got my first bjd when I was 24. I'm 33 now, you're never too old to enjoy a hobby you love!

    20. I'm 32 will be 33 in December, I don't think age is an important factor at BJD hobby, It makes me feel happy when I see elder people enjoying their dolls
