1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How Old Are You?

Feb 26, 2014

    1. I'm 38, I don't even own my first doll yet but, I'm saving and she's next on my list when I can spare the cash...(sigh)

    2. I don't think you can ever be to old for BJD's.
I'm 24 and did have to put my dolls to the side fora time because of adult life, but now that things are getting better I intend to play with my dolls as much as I can.

    3. Turned 23 about four months ago.

    4. I'm 16, 17 in November ^^

I don't believe you can be too old for dolls. Just like people can't be too old for sport, a hobby is a hobby. If it's something you enjoy then it's your business and you have a right to indulge in your hobby. It's just sadly hobbies like sports have become the norm so anything different is considered 'weird'.

    5. I'm 26 and I purchased my first ABJD when I was 18 in 2006 :D I don't think you can ever be too old. I plan on being in this hobby for a long time!

    6. 24... And my family thinks i'm too old for dolls... :(

    7. I'm 18, but I'll be 19 on the 19th! :dance My first boy should be shipping next week, so he'll hopefully be a birthday gift!!!

My parents aren't concerned about my doll collecting, as they know I'm super artistic and they're happy I'm using my own money on this hobby~ I've been admiring bjds since I was 14, so my mom's happy I'm spending my money on something I love!

    8. I'm 25 at the moment. :) I think I would fall out of love with the hobby (Which will be never) before being too old for it.

    9. I will be 55 next year and I have dolls as a hobby for a lifetime BJD just for a few months. I love it and I dont listen to anybody who is telling me I am toooooo old

    10. I just turned 26, and after a year of asian fashion dolls I'm now turning my head towards BJDs as well. I think I'll still be collecting beautiful dolls far into my 80s, lol!

You are never too old for the things in life that make you happy :)

    11. 13 years old over here :XD: I'm getting my first doll soon, and I hope I will never leave the hobby, haha

    12. Why would anyone ever be too old for collecting dolls? Both of my grandmothers had vast collections of porcelain dolls, and no one ever bat an eye at it. Honestly, I think the "in between" crowd gets the most odd stares. "You're not a child, but you're not older, so why do you collect dolls?" That's what my mom says, anyway.

    13. I totally agree! There's always an older crowd at doll collector conventions that focus on porcelain or other collectible dolls. It must just be that "in between" factor you mention. Neither young and focused on fashion dolls or older and focused on porcelain. We collectors know that there's no age limit to loving any sort of doll and that's what's important :)

p.s. ~ I'm 21 so yaaaaay for being "in between"! :XD:

    14. I feel like an itty bitty baby. I'm only 18 and just started in the hobby this year!

    15. I'm 22 ^-^ I started with this hobby about a year ago when I was 21 and I guess I'll never get enough of it =P

    16. I am 43 and started collecting BJD's in April last year. My family don't mind them but they don't share my love for them either!

    17. I'm 20 years old and also believe that you are never too old to have dolls of any kind

    18. 27 and looking to own my first bjd. XD

    19. I'm 20 and seeing people over 60 here makes me so happy, I hope I'll never grow tired of this hobby!

    20. I just started the hobby and im 21
