1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How Old Are You?

Feb 26, 2014

    1. I'm 30 :)
It's difficult to afford a doll when you're a teen snd don't earn your own money, so I guess you can't be too old :)

    2. 27 :XD: and see no end of to my BJD collections, as long as i can afford it of course.

    3. I'm early 30s and never into dolls before this! An unexpected hobby that I am thoroughly enjoying! :)

    4. I just turned 21 around 2 months ago XD got my first bjd around 4 months ago ^^

    5. I'm 15! So tiny. :sweat

    6. I'm going to be 24 in February)) I think it's never late for hobby! And, I wonder, what will happen, when I'm 50?X))

    7. In March I'm going to be 24 :XD:

    8. I'm 25 myself, but I think collecting BJD's can be a respectable older person hobby? Like, yeah it's awesome for the younger generation, I'm not saying they shouldn't own dolls because as long as you are responsible with them it's amazing what anyone can come up with, but it's not really a childish hobby? The idea of owning dolls has always seemed childish, but when it comes to something like a ball-jointed doll, it's on a whole different level

    9. I am 53 and this is my first comment and I have only been collecting bjd's for about 2 years.

    10. I'll be 24 in a couple weeks! I got my first (OT) BJD two years ago and my fiest resin is in production now! I don't think dolls are a hobby I will ever grow out of, and I know many older dolly people (not BJD though) personally. I have liked BJD and wanted one since I was 16 though so I think it's really cool that it spans so many age groups!

    11. 29 :( My bday was last month but I feel younger and everybody tells me soo hahaha

    12. I'm 18, and I've only been in the hobby for about two years. Finally ordered my first doll though!

    13. I'm 25 :) I joined the hobby right after I graduated in 2007 so I was...18? Yup, that sounds about right. 7 long years...I did take a break over the past couple years from actively collecting and participating in the forums and community, but I've never gotten rid of my dolls or even boxed them up for that matter. Ironically, I have less money now to spend on them than I did back then, even though I'm earning more than twice as much!

    14. I'm 46. There's a little OT doll I very much like, but in that fandom I'm one of the youngest - and I really feel it sometimes. There's a certain very old-fashioned idea of what the little doll in question is supposed to be - and my version doesn't fit it at all. One of the things that drew me to BJDs was that the only "right" thing for your doll is what YOU feel is right. There's no pressure to conform to a certain idea of what they're "supposed" to be like.

    15. I'm 26 - I'll be 27 next week!! :D Sounds like a lot of us are around the same age or older! I love that!

    16. I'm 24 and I doubt I'll ever be too old for bjds! I think it's a hobby that any age has the right to enjoy :3

    17. I'm 22 but I've been on this forum since I was 13 :o :D

    18. I'm 21 years old ^-^ and hope to be active in this hobby for the coming years.

    19. I'm 22 now, but I was 14 when I first discovered BJDs and then 16 when I found DoA and made this account. I took a long break from stalking the hobby, but now that a lot of my friends are getting into it, I've got the itch again and plan to have my first doll before the New Year!
