1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How Old Are You?

Feb 26, 2014

    1. I'm 28. I don't think you're too old for bjd but young Yes. A child to 0-15(not all children) wil don't have the notion of bjd & will broke or not take attention to the bjd.

    2. I'm 16 but discovered BJDs in middle school. ^.^

    3. I am 22 years old, and found out about BJDs in late 2012, sooo I might have been 19 when I started??

    4. I'm 53, also! I've been collecting dolls, including bjds, for about 6 years--since my kids became adults and I got the room and time (and money) to put into it.

    5. I'm 17 ^^ Learned about the hobby at the beginning of the year when I was 16 and got my first doll a month after my 17th birthday ^^

    6. I'll be 36 in March, collecting BJDs off and on for a few years now and have been collecting anime & toy items since the age of 5 -my husband is the same way and he's just getting into BJDs as well. I think we're all lucky to find joy in this hobby (and others) ^_^

    7. 27 , Grew up loving barbies ( but dressed them as tom boys or super hero chicks and didn't care for princesses) Collected Monster Highs for awhile till I decided to bite the bullet and invest in BJD around 26 , Sold all my MH and MLP collection to fund it! I love changing outfits and accessories XD And my favorite are boy dolls!

    8. Just turned 22 a few days ago, I joined the hobby/got my first doll when I was 16 though! How time flies! :)

    9. Loved BJDs since I was in high school. I didn't buy my first doll until I was 28, and I'll be 29 next month. The long wait just made it all the more special when I finally had the funds to dive in!

    10. I turned 22 in November, but I got my first doll when I was just about to turn 20.

I loved Barbes a lot longer than mot children did, and I would move onto other dolls after that. So, transitioning into BJDs wasn't surprising for me.

    11. I'm 54 and just this year fell in love with bjds.

    12. I'm 29, started the BJD hobby close to a decade ago. Man, I feel old, haha!

    13. I'm 27 and I'm so happy to find out people with more age and not caring about it at all!

    14. I'll be 35 in less than 2 months ^^

    15. I don't think this hobby has any age limit. I'm 65 and hadn't even heard of BJDs until 4 years ago. I can see myself collecting them when I'm 85!

    16. I'm nineteen now, however, when I first got into BJDs back in eighth grade I was only thirteen. Needless to say, it took me a while to get a doll, I was seventeen when I got my minifee. Two years later and I'll be obtaining my second doll. It's a long process for me, but I love the hobby and it's worth it. I'm definitely not too old ^.^

    17. 19!:) The huge range of ages in this hobby makes me so happy

    18. I'm 21 so far and found out about BJD's at the age of 14, I think. Back then I loved the dolls for their beauty, now I love them for the wide customization possibility. I'm glad I waited so long to get my first doll, because back then, my taste wasn't formed enough in faces + bodies + posing XD Therefore - in my opinion, no, you can't be too old for the hobby, no matter what people say. It's not just about 'simply playing with dolls' after all^^'

    19. 25! Got me my first when I was 18, and soon my third is here. :)

    20. I'm 27 years and three months old, and I'm very into dolls.
