1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How Old Are You?

Feb 26, 2014

    1. I am 24 years old this year, but I haven't get the day of my birthday,I thinks I love this hobby and I wont care how old am I ,I like it ,I am happy, that's enough!

    2. I'm 25 and I'm in BJD's world since 2009. I don't feel too old for it. I'm forever a teenager in my soul ))) Hope I'll always be interested in dolls and other beautiful things ))

    3. I got my first bjd doll a year ago, and I'm almost 18. I started collecting porcelain dolls when I was about 10, so I don't think the doll hobby is something I'm going to grow out of.

    4. 33, 34 this year my mum collects to she is in her late 50's theres no age cap on loving beautiful art pieces like these

(oh look i joined in 2006 thats when i got my first doll)

    5. Good question. I am 26 year old and I will 27 on May.
My family tell me, I am child when I got my first bjd.
Today I know they missing haha !!

    6. I'm 40 but, I've been collecting for 8 yrs.

    7. I'm 23 and it's the first time I've ever really been interested in dolls of any kind :)

    8. I'm 25 and I've been into dolls since my late teens--never liked them as a kid though! They were "creepy", apparently. :P

    9. 33 and been collecting since 27 :sumomo:

    10. 28 and been collecting since 25

    11. I'll be 20 in April but have been collecting since 8th grade. Its a hobby I inherited from my mom!

    12. I'm 44. Got my first BJD in 2009, and was interested in them a bit before that.

When I hear people say "Oh surely you're too old for <hobby>?!" I mentally translate it as "I'm jealous you're into <hobby> as I'd love to be but I'm too concerned about what others would think" ;)

    13. I'm just relieved I'm not too old. I'm going to be 37 this year. Phew.

    14. Hey there, I am 38 ^_^

    15. 28. Collecting since 25.

    16. I recently turned 25, and have been collecting for about a year. When I got into dolls, everyone asked, "isn't that for little kids? or old people?" Since there's a stereotype of old women with houses full of porcelain dolls, I assume I will only grow to love dolls more as I age. :)

    17. I just turned 33, and I've only been collecting for a few months now.

    18. I am 55 and am collecting BJDs now since one year and love the Real Pukis from Fairyland best, I am so happy that I have found the BJDs for me last year, I also collect teddy bears and OOAK fairys and fantasy critters, mostly all miniatures.

    19. When I start this hobby I was 19.. now 23.. :/ Time is running so faaast!

    20. This year I'll turn 32, and I started collecting when I was 29, I think. Before that I was into anime figures:) Personally I think that BJD is for grown-ups (whatever the age is). This is a serious creative hobby that takes lots of money (and planning your expences) and consistent effort to make your doll unique. Stable income and consistency comes with some level of maturity. It's no Monster High!:mwahaha:mwahaha
