1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How Old Are You?

Feb 26, 2014

    1. I'm 17 but I don't own a BJD yet :(

    2. 27, but I'll be 28 in July :) Been in the hobby since I was 18 . . . and it does not seem like it's been that long <_<.

    3. 29! And, no, I don't think I could ever be too old for BJDs.

    4. I got my first bjd last year when i was 20.
      :)
Now im 21 and no, i dont think you can ever be too old for a hobby as long as its not hurting anyone!

    5. I just turned 16 and I got my first doll as a birthday present! She's coming in the mail very soon! I'm applying for a paid internship so that I can fund my dolly habit.

    6. I'm also going to be 26 this year. I love my dolls, and could never imagine outgrowing them :3

    7. I'm 29 too! I've been "in the hobby" on and off since I was 23. A bit older than a lot of you, but not too old by any means. I don't think there is such a thing as "too old"

    8. I'm 31. Sometimes I feel like I'm younger until I hang out with some of the younger crowd, then I'm like "..... no" lol :)

    9. I'm 15, I started with collecting Pullips and now I've owned 3 different bjd (only have one now, though) ^^

    10. I got my first BJD just before my 65th birthday a couple years ago. They bring together my other hobbies of knitting, crocheting, and sewing.

I bought an off-topic tiny BJD for my 87 year old mom last year. She's been having the time of her life doing photo shoots around the house, using her iPad, posing her doll with items that are special to her. She shares the photos online, along with a short history of the item. Our whole family is really enjoying the process, which wouldn't have started without a BJD in her life.

    11. 38 going on 39 come August. Been in the hobby since 2005 when I was 29, just a couple of months before my 30th birthday. My oldest two dolls will be 9 this year!

    12. I am 29 and I think that it is impossible to be too old for any hobby.

    13. I'll be 26 this December :3 I've been into BJDs for ~10 years but just started to actually engage in the hobby this year. I have been collecting dolls and other toys since I was a kid though :) I think its silly to be told our tastes have to change once we get older, I just like what I like, and if that's BJDs (which is really an art piece than a toy...technically XD ) then that's what I'll like :)

    14. I'll be 23 this year. :) As an artist I consider them works of art. Therefore, I'll never, ever grow too old for dolls. Yay!

    15. 27 and I'll be 28 this year. Forever a child at heart and never will any of us be too old for this. :D

    16. 43 going on 44 this year. Enjoying every minute!

    17. I'm 24 but will be 25 in December ^^ I got my first BJD last June and already have 3 full dolls and a floating head at home with another doll on the way :D

    18. Am 70 for another month, birthday in April. Have loved dolls all my life, got my first BJD about 8 years ago.

    19. It is so cool to see all the ages here, from 15 to 87, I absolutely love it! I'm 55 and I don't feel so much like "that crazy lady with the dolls" anymore!

    20. I just turned 20 last month. I love how this hobby has no age limits! It's great meeting people all around the world of different ages etc. (:
