1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How old is your oldest doll?

Mar 3, 2013

    1. my first doll came to my home is in 2009, until now he is 4 years old.:sweat

    2. 2004-- CP Delf Elf El -- My first bjd. I guess he is going on 8 years and some?

I still own him and adore him. He has had to put up with lots more competition for my attention over the years, poor boy. But his basic character (very basic) is still the same.

It is odd thinking of how old he is. It doesn't feel as if I had him so long.

He is ws, but has always been more creamy than paper-white, and he's more creamy than ever... looking almost ns in photos. Much of that is probably his MSC. He still has his original faceup (default). He still has original stringing! (I need to re-string poor boy some day!)

He is in great condition. I have hauled him around to many meetups, but he has no damage. I probably will have to do a big overhaul on him some day... new faceup, etc., but I am dreading it, really, since I love him as he is!

    3. Well the first doll I ever received is only two years old. However I recently purchased a second hand boy that apparently is six years old, possibly older. I would have never guessed, he looks like perfection!

    4. I'm still fairly new to the hobby, so my oldest doll is about a year and some change. Atleast BJD-wise anyway. I have other dolls that I've owned since I was 5.

    5. My oldest doll is from 2008. He is still my absolute favorite doll too :)

    6. My first doll has been around since 2005, so that would be about 8 years this year. He's a tanned doll, and has shown no visible discolouration over the past 7+ years. Still my favourite. XP

My *oldest* doll is a second-hand Volks oldskin white doll who is now a very mellow shade of yellow. When I got him last year, his previous owner listed his age as 8 years as of end 2011, so I guess he would be going on 10 years old this year. Quite amazing, really...

    7. My Josaphine is only 2 years old she is a Doll Leave I actually bought her in March lol

    8. My oldest doll is 7 this year.

    9. My oldest doll is turning six this year! She started out like this and currently looks like this! Overall, I think she's gotten a lot girlier, even if she's still wearing the same hair and eyes I bought for her six years ago. I wonder where those boxer shorts ran off to... She used to wear a lot of white, but in the past year, she's started wearing a lot of bright colors. :aheartbea I think they suit her a lot better!

    10. My first BJD is my eight year old Volks Link from 2005. He was made in March according to his head plate and I received him June 21. He is still my favorite out of all my BJDs.

But my oldest BJD is my Volks School head (now called School A) from 2002. So he is 11 years old now! I bought him second hand in 2006.

    11. Chaeri will be 4 years old this coming 3 May, and other than a slightly cracked left foot, she's holding up quite well. My oldest doll, though, is Megumi, who is almost eight years on (and has been through no less than three head changes, poor thing).

    12. My oldest doll is from 2005 - his colour has mellowed a bit, but everything else is the same!

    13. My oldest doll was made in 2004, he's one of my favorites.

    14. My oldest doll is 8 years old! I've only had her for a year, but it's still crazy to think about.

    15. My oldest doll is 5 years old, though I've only had her for 2 years. She is still my favorite doll.

    16. My oldest doll is my Volks SwD Mika, from 2004. She'll be 9 this December. She's yellowed quite a bit but is still beautiful :D

    17. Amir, my AoD Chen, will be 5 on April 2. :) I have "retired" his original sculpt and upgraded him, but I still have the first doll. He's yellowed and has some minor damage, but it's not bad! The biggest difference in buying dolls then and now? He cost me $183 brand new, including shipping. His shipping was $8!! Now, you're lucky to ship an outfit for that.....

    18. My two oldest dolls are both from 2009, although one I only purchased second hand recently. They're both in excellent condition~! Any yellowing is very minor. I look forward to having them for many more years to come. ♥

    19. My first doll is 10 years old. He is DP8 LE Ken, and I bought him in 2003^u^

    20. Did you get him second hand?? o_O My Volks Link still costs the same on the Volks Intl website (where I bought him) but the exchange rate makes him more expensive now. LOL!
