1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How old is your oldest doll?

Mar 3, 2013

    1. I think my oldest is my Yugiri, who was made in 2007. But the doll I've personally had longest is Loa, my Volks Rose, who I've had 6 years coming up. :)

    2. My oldest is Shinydoll Akali whom I bought back in 2007, so she's 6 years old. She is lovelier now than when I first got her- she has mellowed to an even, subtle colour and her personality is much more defined. I've added gloss to her original face up and blushed & sealed her body so she is still original, but with minor tweaks ;)

    3. My oldest dolls are my first bjd, Chiwoo Elf, released on march 2007 (got him -his head actually- on november that same year, second hand) and my lastest bjd, Yugiri, released also on march 2007 (got her head this week! Second hand too)
My first bjd and my last one are from the exactly same month and year! Sweet coincidence! :aheartbea

Oliver, my Chiwoo Elf, is 6 years and 3 months old now, but will be 6 years with me next november and I love him like the first day. He has been through several changes, actually it took me like 3 or 4 years to complete him.
And Elodia, my Yugiri, is the oldest doll I've got second hand cause all of my other second hand kids were only months old when I got them. She was waiting for me 6 years before I brought her home.

    4. March 2006 for the Obitsu 60, October 2006 for the Dollzone Fei.

    5. August 2005 for my Volks SDC Arashi-- Rowan, the alpha male of the house. :love Little man is still here. He just had a birthday (he has no age, but his 'birthday' is June 6) and will be having his 8th anniversary in a mere couple of months.

But the oldest-made doll in the house is my SD13 Shiro Tachibana v.1, who was made in 2003. Sora (who was not Sora yet) was out having adventures with his 2 previous owners, during those years before he came to me in September 2005. He's been around the block a few times, has our Sora. As a result, that doll is so Real that the Velveteen Rabbit himself would be jealous.

    6. Icarus is only about a year and a half old. He hasn't changed much, though he'll probably be needing a new face up soon. I love him just as much as they day I got him~!

    7. The doll I've had the longest (though he wasn't my first doll, more like my fifth owned) is my Volks Sweet Dream Lucas. I bought him in 2006, and I believe he was originally sold at the first Volks LA party.

My oldest doll however, is my Volks Chris 1st version, who was released in 2002. He's remarkably beautiful and in excellent shape for being 11 years old! ;)

    8. My oldest doll, a SOOM Minette, arrived in April 2011. So that makes him two years old.
I could have had many older dolls, but I've had to go through quite a few dolls, before I understood what I needed in this hobby.
I probably I have other dolls that were made earlier, but because they're secondhand, I'm not 100% when they're from.

    9. My oldest bjd is 9 years old. Released in 2004 August Dolpa 11 Isao Nanjou V1. He has not yellowed. However, I expect him to yellow soon. He is in company sealed makeup and hot glued eyes. Fullset with box and accessories but without original dolpa booklet. He lived most of his dollie life in extreme cold regions of Alberta and Saskatchewan in Canada where he was handled with gloves and where there is little sun light. This explains his pristine resin. He is my favorite doll, the first I fell in love with and the first doll I got. Next year, I am celebrating his 10th birthday, I can't wait. He is retired, meaning he is kept in his box, seldom travels, not allowed outside. The new dolls do all the work.

    10. I sold my first doll.. so the oldest doll i have is volks yosd megu that i bought secondhand last year :->
I love bjds but hard to bond easily with but this one really got my mind so i dont think ill sell her...

    11. My oldest doll is my Littlefee Ante girl (Rin) who was made in 2008...5 years old? I actually got her secondhand and have had her a little less than a week, but that is how old the dolls is.

    12. I have a DIM MNM Miyavi head that was made in 2008. Everyone else is only a month or so old.

    13. My first boy is a DOD Homme Ivan, who came home on April 2010! So that's about 3 years... which I supposed is fairly short compared to other long timers here! I hope he will continue to "grow old" with me many years down the road... okay maybe that came out a little creepy LOL!!

    14. I think my oldest doll is about five now. She's a PD Tara.

    15. The doll that's been with me the longest just turned four last month. He's a DOD A&D and I got him in 2009. He's not really changed that much over the years, other than he's mellowed nicely and he's gone from wearing auburn wigs to brown ones. However, I got a YOSD Rengemaru on the marketplace last year that is from 2005, now THAT is old! He's certainly my physically oldest, though he seems to be holding up wonderfully. We'll have to see how he evolves over the years, but for now he's still "new" to me!

    16. My oldest doll is Volks Dollfie Dream Yukino, she come to me on 2010 Mai 5 day!!! Now she is 3 years olds! She is my first and favourite girl! =^o^=

    17. My oldest doll isn't even a year old yet. She's about 9 months old.

    18. My oldest is a Pipos Baha Basic and she'll be going on 6 this year.

    19. The doll I've had the longest is my first, an Angel Region LF Present Jade who will be 8 yrs old tomorrow. My actual oldest doll is my Volks SD Sara who was made before Volks started putting the plates on the back of the heads.

    20. My oldest doll is a HappyDoll Arthur I got in 2004, and the company has long since disappeared. Which is kind of sad.
Now he is my Skander, The One Who Presides Over All That Came After Him, heh.^^
