1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How to post pictures

Feb 23, 2023

    1. I'm so sorry if this questions came too often, guys, but can you help me to make this failure in posting pictures don't always show up (marketplace)?

      It always show like this:

Please enter a value that matches the required format.

I can't post because that warning always shows sup. I've tried posting the images first in Flickr but it still not working. I've tried using photos.google.com too. Or is this because I made mistake? I never post pictures like this before.

      thank you so much,

    2. Here's a guide:
      https://denofangels.com/faq/how-do-i-add-an-image-to-a-post.59/

Can you explain what exactly you are doing? I assume the link you use doesn't work because it's not a direct image link (it needs to end with the image file format like .jpg). You just need to grab that link, click the icon with the mountain, and paste it in.
Image hoster like Imgur and Imgbb also offer already formatted BB code pieces you can just copy/paste straight into the post box (the mountain icon actually just sets BB tags around your links). A BB code looks like this [*IMG] (without *) and is set around text to make it perform a certain way.

    3. From Flickr click on " view all sizes" of the photo on the bottom right, then select the resolution you want. From there you can copy the URL, it should end with .jpg.

(I don't know if this works on mobile, I only use desktop)

    4. I could never use Flickr on mobile. The site I've been using now is postimages.org and I find it really easy on mobile too. You can upload the images to your gallery (you want to create a login if you want to do this a lot and manage everything in one place). Be sure to select the resize at upload so that it's small enough in pixels to look right here. They have a pre-setting for forums that works! Then if you click the share icon it will give you cut and paste links for embedding. To use on DoA I paste the direct link in the insert image box and then I add the "link" one in after in case the image breaks temporarily.
Whatever host you are using, problems are usually one of these:
You are not using a direct link where it's needed. Your file type might not be supported, your file may be too large in pixels or in file size, and frustratingly sometimes images also randomly do not work, but that problem is usually temporary and it won't be happening to all your pictures at once.

    5. I also had many issues posting pictures from Flickr. An alternative I use which I like is Imgur. It's free, does not lower the picture quality and allows to post unlimited amount of pictures. You just need to right click "copy the picture's link". Some people have used Discord servers and works as well. But it lowers the picture quality if you don't have Nitro.

When you copy a picture's link, make sure the link ends with the picture format, instead of '.com', '.org', '.net'... For example:

      Instead of:

The example above is the correct URL format for posting pictures.

Also, a little reminder if you get this issue, your pictures should not weight more than 2MB, otherwise DOA will not upload them. You can compress your pictures

    6. One thing to bear in mind when it comes to the quality of the picture is sometimes you also need the file size to be reduced or it will appear broken here, as well as it needs to be the correct display size. So you're going to want to use a host site that makes it easy for you to resize there or you have to resize it yourself before uploading.

    7. If you do end up using Imgur, remember to set your photos to private to protect yourself from the trolls there! There are people there who seem to enjoy leaving nasty comments on doll photos...
