1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How would you feel if there's a doll that look like you?

Jan 23, 2013

    1. I would probably laugh out loud if I ever find a doll that resembles me. I would consider getting one just for laughs if it existed!

    2. Well, I would be sorry ! I'm not very pretty, and a kind of reflect of myself would make me very sad...

    3. It would be really great if there was a doll like me))

    4. I would buy it in a heartbeat! :)
I used to have an off topic doll that looked like me when I was a child, and having a BJD that looked like me would feel really nostalgic ~
I doubt i'd ever find one though, because I have really odd features!

    5. Bwahaha, me too. I'm not good-looking by any standards but having a doll of myself would be hilarious.

    6. Back when I was a dolls age between 16 and 24 I wouldn't mind. I was super slim and not bad looking.
The already make a doll who looks like me now, I think her name is Baba Yaga. lol

    7. I want to have a doll that look like me,but without flaws :)

    8. I think I'd spook a bit o.o Then wonder how it looks EXACTLY like me and have they been following me around! D: XD

    9. Uhh... I think it would creep me out. And I probably would tend to avoid it since I don't really like things like that..

    10. I would enjoy that.

    11. The other day I was taking photos of my doll and for a second my camera recognised her face and thought it was me! :o

    12. I would probably laugh, buy one and sit in on the dining table and play a recording of me talking so when my dad comes in it scares him, but that's just me. I think it would be cool, though.

    13. I would think it was creepy AND I'd want one. But probably only if it was super cheap, i wouldn't want a doll of me that badly to actually spend serious money on it, and I imagine i wouldn't want to spend hours making clothes and stuff for it, it would be more as a funny novelty.

But it would amuse me and make for funny photos...imagine how much funnier/creepier this would be if she looked like me!

    14. I would find it very, very creepy and probably would be freaked out by it. Super realistic dolls and dolls that are meant to resemble/be an actual person are not my cup of tea.

    15. There's a doll that looks like me, Iplehouse Soa^^ when I saw her I was like "woah!! those are my eyes and mouth" and I got her but I had to sell her because the body drove me nuts....when Iplehouse improves the bodies I'll definitely get her again.

    16. As a girl who looks just like a Supia Rosy, I just feel flattered (as the Rosy sculpt is so popular) I take it as a personal complement. But I wouldn't style a doll to look like me. I don't need a mini evil twin.

    17. If a doll looked like me... I think it'll help me accept my body a bit better... I don't know how to explain it, it's like, I do love to take care of my dolls, comb their hair, get them pretty clothes and stuff, clean them and such... But I don't really do the same for myself, of course I keep clean but it's like, I don't get out of my way to buy pretty clothes, can't seem to tame my hair if not tying them in a bun... I do own a hell lot of makeup and cosmetics, but I don't put them on a lot cause I always fell like I'm disguising myself and the girl with foundation on that I see in the mirror is not me... So I guess I don't really like myself even if I don't feel like I'm ugly. So If I had a doll lookalike, I could take care of her and then, I guess, it'll be easier to take care of me at the same time. Sorry, long rant !

    18. i would get jealous if the doll had a better body then me cause no diet on this world lets me lose my Iplehouse-EID-style body to become like angel of dream, for example. hahahahaha

    19. I think I'd really like a sculpt that looked like me :)
It would be fun to dress it up and make it look pretty without having to actually stare at my real face. I'd totally buy it! (Assuming it wasn't too expensive :XD:)

    20. I wouldn't want a doll that looked like me, but I have a couple of Second Life avatars that I would LOVE to have made into dolls.
