1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How would you feel if there's a doll that look like you?

Jan 23, 2013

    1. I would be creeped out for sure. But i guess after some days looking at it i would get used (and certainly if my mom see it would buy one for her)

    2. Well that would be some darn ugly doll for sure. ^^ยฐ

    3. I would be super creeped out if there was a doll that looked exactly like me...I don't think I would get it, it would be too much like a doppelganger and I would always end up doing double takes if I kept seeing "myself" in the corner of my eye.:sweat

    4. Some people tell me I look like those Japanese dolls with chubby cheeks. But if I see a bjd that looks like me I'll probably be interested lol

    5. i would feel very creeped out lol but as someone said before it would sell :P

    6. I don't think it would be too creepy- I'd definitely buy it- or hope I would get one for free since the company would be profiting off of my personal image LOL!!

    7. I'd probably be flattered.

    8. I am not sure how I would feel about that. I don't think I'd like it.

    9. I would actually buy the doll.
I mean, it would be like the whole "American Girl Doll looks like you" thing that I never took a part in as a kid because wow, those are creepy.

I honestly, would like a curvier doll too (because curves n' stuff bruh). I know there are some curvier dolls but if there was a doll that looked. Like. Me. I would actually be pretty stoked.
Now, if it was just the face, I'd buy it still because gosh darn, what a cutie.

It'd be pretty awesome if that were to ever happen.

    10. I'd feel really creeped out. I don't think I'd feel comfortable with my likeness being sold to random people, haha. Imagine all the weird/bad makeup they might put on you!

    11. I would want to own all the dolls of me and no one else could have them! I don't want other people having a doll of me! I would have an army, and we would take over the world! But, knowing my luck, the doll of me wouldn't be on-topic. lol! :XD:

    12. I probably wouldn't like for a doll to look like me... (i have a weird look, that I'm not sure if its pretty or boring) but i did find a Doll that looks really close to my husband! (Ringdoll Norman 2.0 make-up A) Grey hair and all (except my husbands hair is short on the sides and long on the top) [IMG] [IMG]

    13. I'd start looking over my shoulder for the person following me with a camera. My mug is rarely on film so I'd be curious as to how they managed to replicate my face.

And probably weirded out. Not exactly the face that would sell millions. More likely to show up in some kind of niche collection.

    14. It would be strange, but kind of flattering, too. It would also probably end up being from a company like Doll Chateau for me - more for the face than the body. I'm not what you'd call ordinary-looking. More like quirky.

I love DC, bu the way. :)

    15. I'd feel horrible. An artist obviously wasted their time on it. and no one will buy it, not even me. How horrible.

    16. I do not consider myself pretty at all but it would be very interesting!
I would surely buy that doll and try on her different styles just to know how they would fit me! xD
And taking twin pics with her would be really fun! <3<3<3

    17. So much negativity ;-; stop it guys!

idk i like the idea of a minime and dressing it up like myself ^~^ so probably yeah c:

    18. I don't think I would even recognize a doll sculpt that looked like me... :sweat MAYBE if the doll had realistic faceup, forest green eyes (like me) and fair resin tone I woud be like: "Hey... wait a minute!".
But I do like the idea of a mini me! :kitty1 I'd probably just end up buying the head (if there was that option). And then later on buying the body (with my body type) so it would look even more like me.
Hybridizing and color matching would be totally new for me but because we're talking about doll that looks like you I would take the challenge! :mwahaha

    19. My first reaction would be, "...... why". Then I would be creeped out. I don't think I'd keep it, but I don't think I'd want to sell my own face either.

    20. I'd feel flattered in a narcissistic kind of way, but I don't think I'd buy mini-me. I'm pretty cute in my humble opinion, but still...that'd be weird. Also I can't imagine the jointing would be great--I've seen the handful of fat bjds, and I'm not impressed, so yeah. I'd probably be disappointed by a doll that isn't half as flexible as I am just because resin doesn't move like flesh.
