How would you feel if there's a doll that look like you?

I would be really into a doll that looks like me.

 

I think I would honestly be into a doll that looks like me? I know I did see a doll some time ago that bore some resemblance, and had it not been SD sized I would have gotten it! I don't think it's out of some narcissism or anything, nor would I want one to make it look exactly like me, but it just seems like such a cool novelty.

 

Dang some people are being really self-deprecating in this thread um I don't know how I would feel. It would depend on HOW MUCH it looked like me, I think. I mean some of the Minisups remind me vaguely of myself but they don't look like they were based off me or anything. If a doll looked EXACTLY like me to the point someone might think it had been based off me, that would be too weird.

 

My dad once saw a doll that he thought was like me. He liked it, haha.

But recently I did see a doll that had my name as the official name of the sculpt. So I clicked on it, and saw it also had my hairstyle and color!! WEIRD. because everything else was not like me, including the gender. so so weird. but so so funny!!

 

It'd be both fascinating and kind of creepy seeing a doll that looks exactly like me. I probably wouldn't buy it though.

 

I think I would be complemented. I mean whoa someone thought I was pretty enough to make a likeness of me. Even if it was as a joke it would still be awesome. Cause it takes time to make those things and that's a lot of dedication to one person =P

 

A more ideal version of me? Yes! Every computer game with a character creation menu always comes out as an ideal version of me, or as close as I can get to it. I'd get to dress me up in all the things I don't get to wear.

 

This is my reasoning with every character creation medium I've ever come across. I don't even play online doll makers if I can't at least select my own skin tone. I chose my first BJD because its head would vaguely resemble my face once I dyed it. I would totally buy a doll that looked like a cutesy version of me, and I'd be flattered if other doll owners would want one too.

 

I actually found a doll that looks like me...and I do kind of want to get her, but at the same time, it does seem a bit weird. P:

 

I would love to have a doll that looks like me, I would love dressing a mini me up in cute clothes and doing her faceup and hair. I would make a tiny version of myself in my favorite outfits and hairstyles lol. I suck at doing my own hair but wigs are easier for me to style.

Oh my god... One of my projects will now be a matching outfits for me and my doll! I already have a body like the Leekeworld a type...

 

One of the face plates that I want to make for my own line of dolls is a more symmetrical version of my face. But then maybe I'd take it personally if it didn't sell well.

 

I'm not going to go the self-deprecating route (I bet all of you putting yourselves down are beautiful in real life :P ), but I do have kind of a unique (mis-matched?) set of facial features. I'd be really surprised if I saw a doll that looked like me ... and I'd definitely want one, because I could make her try on new styles for me

 

I'm actually quite tired of so many same-y, overly perfect doll faces. I think if there was a greater variety in facial sculpts that would be heaven for me XD The dolls that look similar to me tend to be the "Asian looking" dolls which is weird because I'm white and hispanic...

 

I would love more Asian looking sculpts :p
In fact, I've been on the lookout for dolls that look like me because I like to be matchy.
The only doll that's looked a little like me is a boy sculpt (lol), but I have been thinking about hybridizing with a female body even though I typically dislike bodies and heads that weren't "meant" to be put together. It looks good on other folks dolls, it just bothers me personally.

 

A Mini-me! So cool, but I'd give it a miss. There are so many great sculpts out there full of character which interest me. It's enough looking in the bathroom mirror first thing without putting the poor bjd through that shock!!!!!!

 

I think it might be cool to find a child doll that looked like I did as kid, back when I was cute. But a doll that looks like me now....yeah not so much.

 

There is a doll that looks a little like me, it's a male sculpt and yes I do want to own it. I only recognised that it looked like me after someone else pointed it out!

 

Hah! That'd be awesome. I found a doll which I think looks a little bit like me, it's the Spiritdoll Nymphaea sculpt. I have been thinking about getting her and having matching outfits with her. It would be really nice to have a "doll daughter".
