How would you feel if there's a doll that look like you?

I kinda have a mini me of sorts. I have three bjds. The first I ordered looked like my husband in skintone, eye color, and hair color, even the model name the company gave him was the same. Which started an idea. So then I found Impldoll Iris, her face is similiar to mine in shape, she's short, almost the exact difference between my Ringdoll that I got that looks like my husband and my actual husband and myself. The Dolls, Ringdoll Andrew, Impldoll Iris.

 

It'd never ever sell. Honestly. No one would ever buy one.

 

I actually have one doll that looks kind of like me, and it's one of my faves, too. My Soom Chrom (human head) has the same combination of European and Asian features that I have, with a largeish nose and almond-shaped eyes. I think it looks better on him because he's a guy, though.

 

I wish DOA had a 'LIKE' button same as Facebook. My finger would have worn out by now 'Liking' all these replies!

And for my two cents worth, unless someone wanted a crone doll, ain't nobody buying one that looked like me, LOL!

 

Until someone compared my pictures with the doll it would not have believed it. On the other hand, if it is not the limited edition, I would gladly have purchased. It would be fun :3

 

I'd totally buy it; for the simple fact I could look back years later and say "wow. That's what I looked like at that age...etc"
I may not think that I'm very pretty now, but one day, looking back at a mini image of my younger self may change my mind. I'd also buy look-a-likes of my friends as well

 

I had one that a stalker made me himself to look like me. O_O
Thankfully he was HARMLESS. But still very creepy to look at it sometimes lol

 

Well, I think there have been some sculpts that could be styled into a credible (though extremely idealized) likeness of me.

However, my natural appearance is not much aligned with my favourite aesthetics, so I tend to be very 'meh' about those dolls.

 

Have a parent (figure) name it for you.

 

There is! Elfdoll K looks a lot like me. Even funnier is my name is also K.

 

I'd horror movie freak out, that sounds like the plot line of a creepy doll movie where people see there dolls right before they are turned into them.

 

I would love a doll that looked like me, especially if it had the same build o.o it would just be nice to see something nonstandard! (I'm kinda amazonian, proportionally XD)

 

I discovered by accident that Iplehouse Zera looks just like me; all I'd have to do is sand down the point of the upper lip. I was ordering a CDS doll to get the body and (subconsciously?) chose Zera on a whim instead of the head I'd planned to order. I didn't notice it until my partner pointed it out while I was trying to decide how to paint it. I couldn't decide whether it would be an interesting opportunity to paint a self-portrait or disturbingly self-absorbed to have a mini me standing around with my OC dolls, so I just put the head back in the box and haven't touched it since.

Why is everyone being so negative? :p I think it would be cool to have a doll that looks like me, especially if it was a limited or something. It would be like, "Yeah, I'm exclusive! "

 

I've actually been told I look like MNF Shiwoo. I have really big eyes and a similar facial structure. I once gave myself a "face up" like the default images on the website to see how much I could look similar, and it was sorta creepy to see any resemblance. I mean its obviously not a spot-on match or anything.

But if there was an actual doll modeled after my face I dont know if I'd buy it. It may creep me out sometimes to have a mini version of myself hanging around.

 

I would be creeped out too honestly, I have a chubby face so I don't think a chubby faced doll would sell if it weren't a child like looking one. I would get it either way though and make it look like the me I would want to look like if I had the chance, time, and money.

 

My first reaction would be "you poor doll, what did you do to deserve that?!!" :O Then I would purchase every one in existence and get rid of it so no one would have to suffer looking at it!

I think it would be neat Generally being blond haired and blue eyed i've gotten a lot of dolls that "look like me" (because, you know, hair and eyes are the only thing people look a when deciding something does/doesn't look like you ) but if I acually had a doll that matched my face, actually had HAZEL eyes (rather than the blue everyone jumps to) I think i'd like to see that
