Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. This ban does not apply to other company dolls cast by Dollshe as part of a casting agreement between him and the actual sculpt or company and those dolls may still be discussed on the forum.     4. Heh, he has almost the perfect face for my favorite game character. Canonically, the Idealian is about 10 cm too short in this scale (this character would be an 82 cm, muscular behemoth if he were 1/3 scale resin). :XD: Ah well, back to sculpting I suppose. :lol:

    5. Huh. Real English kings... that is an inspiration I haven't seen before. I wonder if they will be doing more of them and which ones might make good dolls. Perhaps they'll do kings of other countries, too.

      I love his nose and his profile is gorgeous!

      I still wonder what happened to the Steampunk characters. :?

    6. Haha! Can you imagine a Henry VIII doll - Soom would need to make extra wide boxes for him! ;)

      I really like his outfit and the concept as a whole - if Soom did move into the realm of Monarchs, that would be so interesting and a nice break from fantasy dolls, and judging the standards of this outfit...they could really do great things with this theme!

    10. That picture really puts him in a totally different light! :) I could see him as a member of Metallica or some other metal band if you keep that wig and put him in a black t-shirt. Thinking about it, he would make a superb monster-metal-rock-god named Ricky or something like that! :lol:

    11. ...but it's Soom, with their wily Soominess. ;) They could just as easily 'reinterpret' 'young Henry' as they did in The Tudors and... OK, I'm just gonna say it: if they do a Johnathan Rhys Myers-lookin' Idealian in Tudor clothing, that rule about 'no doll expense over $100 ever goes on the credit card' is RIGHT out the window if necessary, because... mmmph. (MA Corvi actually resembles him, believe it or not, so at least one of their sculptors already has a fondness for that face. I can feel the doom, I can.)

      Also, it's... Soom. They'd totally give us a padded vest as a fantasy part. ;)

Thanks for that, I now have some more wallpaper for my desktop! :lol: But you're right, they could do an interpretation of a young Henry which complete with Tudor garb and a goblet would be hard to resist.       Seriously, I love that they're doing historic kings! I would also KILL for a Louis XIV - Sun King!!
