  2. Dollshe Craft and all dolls created by Dollshe, including any dolls created under his new or future companies, including Club Coco BJD are now banned from Den of Angels. Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. This ban does not apply to other company dolls cast by Dollshe as part of a casting agreement between him and the actual sculpt or company and those dolls may still be discussed on the forum.       Also, I counted... and if I counted right, then 100 working days (isn't that how long Soom give themselves?) would be in February... :o But, I figure that'll give me plenty of time to spoil my recent influx of dolls, so it'll work :)

    3. Congrats on all the payments, folks! I managed to squeeze in a 2nd for my River as well. Good time to ask: have I understood correctly that Soom doesn't even start making your doll until they receive the last payment? It's going to be a long wait ...

      And yeah! for more payments Babarica! Every little bit helps.

      Ooh, nancy_schroeder_ca, now I'm hoping for an Elizabeth I... I'd love it if they continued, even just every so often, the kings (and queens!) idea. I'll always be hoping for a Charlemagne. :) And an Eleanor of Aquitaine would be awesome, too!

      Have you guys seen the photos of Galaway that are coming in? They look good and some of the owner faceups make him look way better than his promo shots.

    12. I frequently find that Soom dolls look even better in person. It's nice that they produce dolls that are as good or better than there pictures. I've gotten other dolls and ordered the basic faceup only to find that isn't the faceup they used in the photos! Or found that some strange feature of the doll was "hidden" in the pictures. That is very disappointing!

      With all dolls, different faceups can bring out very different personalities in sculpts! I really like some of the pictures of Galway and sort of wish I'd bought him. But there is no way I can get every Idealian!

    13. I hear ya Nancy! Faceup are such a huge factor on how a doll will look. Some of the photos of Galaway remind me a bit of Branon....while when I see the Soom shots of River...he reminds me a bit of Hyperon. (maybe it's his nose?)

      And speaking of faceups...I'm redoing my York's. He got a quick hurried one when I pulled him out of the box...and it wasn't good.... :(

    14. I'd love it if they did send him out when they said they might. My fingers are starting to get itchy and if someone doesn't get here soon, I may just have to buy another doll ;)

      I got the default faceup for my guy, so I'll be thrilled to pieces if he comes home looking as smirky and superior as he did to me on the company pics :)

    15. Darn, darn, darn... I asked Soom again if they had a shipping estimate for River, as I've got a meet in early December that I was hoping to bring him to and they've now changed my shipping ETA from mid- to late-November to mid-December. Darn, darn, darn.

      Aw, I think you'll be able to do a lovely job on your fella! As gorgeous as the default is, it's always fun to me to see what other people can bring out of a sculpt. And I think you're better than most at finding surprising things :)

      I'm still struggling with my York...who I am redoing his faceup. For some reason...the lighter skin tones are harder for me.

      Well, he's already well on his way to getting there :) I've ordered a suit and... um... four... pairs of those brilliant Oxford shoes from Freedom Teller. The suit is actually for my other big boy, and two pairs of the shoes, but if the suit as awesome as I think it's going to be, then I will be ordering another just for River.

      The outfit I'm going to have most trouble with is a sports outfit. I'd love to make him a pair of 'plus-fours', and that'd be doable but he'd need a sweater and some nifty socks... all hard to find, though I have thought of trying out Spoonflower for those.

      And then there's the hair... The best idea I've got right now is to try out that fibre paste that Lyn R used on one of Jackie's boys. And even then that won't be quite right, but I think it'd look better than most wigs I've seen.

      And then... I did get the crown and robe with him, so I *may* have to make him an outfit for that... like a red loincloth or something ;)

      So... how is everyone else planning on styling their sexy kings?

      Oh the hair...I didn't order the wig...I'm just remembering...I don't know what I'm going to put on his head. *_* I don't have a name either...so he might just have to dress up as the King for awhile.

      I love the loincloth and crown and robe idea!!! :D
      In fact, I was thinking I can see my Noe...stealing that robe...wearing it with little else. LOL.
