1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

If not Alice In Wonderland, what story would you like to see sculpts for?

Aug 5, 2014

    1. Dustfinger from Inkheart, Hamlet from Shakespeare, all the characters from Narnia (because honestly who can pick just one?!), The Phantom Of The Opera, the characters from The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel, Shadowhunters from The Mortal Instruments, Mina and Dracula from Dracula, Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.

So many book characters I want as doll!
It's kinda good they don't do book character dolls, otherwise I would be completely broke.

    2. I think musicals would be a great source of lovely sculpts! Miss Saigon, for example, has a leading lady who is Asian and another who is the classical American housewife. There are also the little children, and, of course "the tiger who walked on paper feet" and "the morning of the dragon." Musicals is where it is at, people.

    3. SHADOWHUNTERS!!!! I would buy a Jace sculpt so fast OMG.

    4. I'm actually thinking of making an Alec doll using a sculpt I found and commissioning tattoo artist to do the runes!

    5. Sailor Moon! Has anyone mentioned Sailor Moon yet? Or a whole bunch of magical girls and boys!! I would buy them in a heartbeat... :D

    6. I would also love to see some native American culture dolls, from the First Nations cultures in the north, to the central/latin and South American cultures. It's a group that sorely needs some attention, and is full of a very vivid, rich culture. Also, I've got a soft spot for Ancient Egypt, and would love to see more dolls representing that culture, or maybe a mixed influence with another culture (Greek, Roman, Native American, Ancient China/Japan/etc...). Or maybe some of their prominent gods––especially Isis, or the Cat Goddess Bast(et)...

For fiction, there are so many possibilities, I could be here all day listing them off. Book-wise, I'll add in for Lord of the Rings/Hobbit, Peter Pan, The Arthurian tale (especially young/old Merlin, but especially a younger one :love) and some more obscure fairy tales. I'd also like to add that I'd love to see characters from David Eddings' series Elenium/Tamuli and Belgariad/Malloreon done, especially C'Nedra, Polgara, Belgarion, Sephrenia, and Bevier (I'd also love one of a child-goddess version of Aphrael :3nodding:). I'd also love to have one of the Unicorn from Peter Beagle's The Last Unicorn (movie or book version, I'll take either). I also wouldn't' mind some Animorphs related dolls, especially of some of the aliens species. LJ Smith has some characters in her Night World and Forbidden Games series I'd love to see done, especially Jez Redfern, Raksha Keller, and Julian...

I'd also think it'd be great to see some comic superheros done. Wonder Woman, Batman, Thor...but I'd especially be over the moon if there was one of Teen Titans Raven. Especially the cartoon version (ugh, not Teen Titans Go. That's just...:horror:). On the topic of cartoons, if there was any chance of seeing Avatar: the Last Airbender/Legend of Korra dolls being done, I'd be elated:D. I'd also love to see some from Steven Universe, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Young Justice, and Hell Girl as well.

Star Wars and Star Trek––I'd also go for some of these. Especially Data from TNG. If there weren't the copyright issues and Star Wars was a possibility (that applies to all the copyright stuff I've listed), I'd hope they'd expand it to the animated Clone Wars/Rebels series. I'd be...:D if one was done of Ahsoka Tano, or Kanan (sp?) from Rebels! Leia would be great too, and Rei, Finn and Poe:kitty2.

Like I said, there are so many I could list off, that I could be at this all day:mwahaha.

    7. It'd be cool to see dolls based off Les Mis (the movie version), I'd especially love an Enjolras doll! Also, the Dark Reflections series by Kai Meyer has the potential for some really interesting dolls, the characters are wonderfully strange.

    8. Rampunzel, Snow White, Lady Godiva, Angels and Demons, Tiny kid dolls in a shoe, Greek myths. Scandivanian myths, Arthurian legend, figures from history, various cultures with accompanying tales, are in the public domain. Some historical and admirable figures are just not romantic enough. I must be looking in the wrong places, but tiny fairy, brownie, gnome dolls would be great, can't find 'um.

    9. Atlantis!!!! Would love to see a Milo and Kida sculpt!!

    10. I was thinking a Hetalia-esque line up. This might be difficult, I mean how would one create a sculpt to represent an entire country? But still, it would be fun to see what they come up with. Then you could collect the different nations.

This idea is already out there but I'd like to echo the idea of classical literary characters like from Oliver Twist (Oliver, The Artful Dodger, etc); Wuthering Heights (Heathcliff, Catherine & Co.); etc.
