1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

If not Alice In Wonderland, what story would you like to see sculpts for?

Aug 5, 2014

    1. There was a Phantom of the Opera doll by Iplehouse. I would love some classical Greek or Roman mythology.

      • x 1
    2. I don't know if it counts but I would love to see Sherlock Holmes and Game of Thrones characters doll-ified.

    3. Just imagine how cool these dolls would look! The names alone give me ideas about how'd they'd look even if I'm not familiar with the story. It'd be worth it to contact an author and see if they could get the rights to produce a limited number of high end dolls like BJDs are.

    4. I'd love to see Greek mythos. Medusa, Minotaur, Hercules, etc

    5. Oh my god YES!! Imagine that creepy old dolly omfg it would be fantastic :love

I know it's obscure, but I was raised on Maori legends being read to me at bedtime by my Kiwi mother, so I'd love to see some dolls sculpted after Tutanekai and Hinemoa, or ohhhhhhhh Hatupatu and the Bird Woman. The bird woman would be amazing and soooo creepy. Imagine having a doll that looked like this.

    6. All sorts of mythic creatures and figures, not just the greek ones!

Also all fairytale characters would be nice, maybe some specific princesses like the Sleeping Beauty, Snow White etc

    7. I think dolls based on Bizenghast would be epic too… It's a manga but it has a fairytale-kind feel to it.. especially the creatures from the ghost world. For the ones who don't know it, just google it. It has a very doll-like and almost surreal style.

    8. Discworld!! Nac Mac Feegles, The Librarian, Otto Chriek, Angua, Vimes, Vetinari (of course), Sally, Tiffany, Nobby, Casanunda, Nanny and Granny... So many characters... All modelled after the Paul Kidby illustrations of course!

    9. I think Red Riding Hood Series would be beautiful, but it is also a very common theme...

    10. Star Trek!!! (Not action figures. Bjds) But for Star Trek the different races and uniforms so you can create your own characters and not just Starfleet. Romulans and their style clothes and uniforms. And Klingons. And Vulcans. I would so love that!!!!

    11. this may be the single greatest idea I've ever heard.

    12. Also if it's a quite common theme and not really a series, I'd love to see dolls of the seven deadly sins

    13. I have always loved the Brother's Grimm tale Bearskin and would love to have the characters from it in BJD form.

    14. I agree!! I love anything Nightmare before Christmas or Tim Burton!! ;)

    15. I agree with you they would look awesome but walking dead and game of thrones would be cool :)

    16. Hunger games, I like the idea of a strong character doll...

    17. I'd like to see dolls of other mythologies, folklore, and fairytales, especially anything Chinese and Norse, personally. I'd like to see more Eastern Zodiac dolls as well.

    18. just any fairytale really....they are all good

    19. Umm...There has so many interesting themes/designs/concepts for BJD but the most "Wanna See" concept for me must be characters from RAGNAROK ONLINE! I've played this game for 10 years and I really really want to see a BJD which looks like Assassin in this game. :love

    20. Bizenghast dolls would be amazing. As would Burton-esque dolls. :)

      There are tons of other themes I'd like to see but these would probably be my favorites;

      - Ten Thousand Leagues Under the Sea -- a Kraken themed doll - yes, please
      - The Child Thief -- or any dolls inspired by BROM's artwork really @_@
      - The Lunar Chronicles -- some more cyborgs and twists on other traditional fairy tale characters
      - More Mythology/Zodiac creatures from an array of cultures.
