1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

If not Alice In Wonderland, what story would you like to see sculpts for?

Aug 5, 2014

    1. Oh Cthulhu so much, anything monster and old stories related they were full of vivid beings. A Hela doll would make me crazy if we talk of deities. Anything of this line would be so beautiful. I would love to see more stuff based on faeries stories, not the fairy.

    2. I'm glad multiple people have said Lovecraft, because I am there so hard. Just imagining the sorts of customizations....

    3. Greek Mythlogy? If it hasn't already been done and I just don't know about it *_*

    4. Ronja (Astrid Lindgren book), The Secret Garden and Little princess (although I am already using a doll to turn her into Sara P), Little Women, Daddy-long Legs...The Witcher, Lord of The Rings, Disc World, Dragon Lance... And many other :)

    5. I was going to suggest Beauty and the Beast, but I know there's a doll that has a monster faceplate and a default human faceplate... Or those dolls already exist and my mind died on me while thinking about it LOL. Other than that, I'd love to see ghost/mythical beast inspired dolls, especially those from folklores.

    6. Hmm... Maybe Snow White? The dwarfs would be super cute as YoSDs!

    7. The Abhorsen series by Garth Nix
      Nightmare Before Christmas
      Wizard of Oz
      Peter Pan
      more greek mythology!

    8. Oh this would be wonderful. Though I expect copyright permissions would be tricky. Also Star Wars themed dolls would be immensely popular, shame a BJD company couldn't collaborate with Disney. There would be potentially lots of money to be made if they did because even people that aren't particularly interested in dolls would no doubt want them.
With regards to fairytales, Pinocchio and Beauty and the Beast themed dolls would be super as well.

    9. Star Trek or Star Wars...I do not think this will happen as fullsets due to copyright. If you want to have this, you have to tackle it yourself. There exist actually Minimees both of the Leonard Nimoy and the Zachary Quinto Spock.

For some Star Wars characters, particularly the masked guys such as Boba Fett or Clones, you just have to find a doll which matches their build, and then make the outfits and accessories.

    10. i would love any of the narnia characters

    11. I'm not, uh, really religious or anything.. But anything angelic or demonic is something i'm all squealy for! I have a HUGE dragon/angel/demon/thingymagic that i commisioned about half a year ago! I want more angels! Demons! I know there's already quite a few of them, BUT I NEED MOOOOORE :D

    12. I would love too to see Dickworld's dolls ! Rincewind, Granny Weatherwax, Susan, Death and many more would make such awesome fullsets <3

    13. I would love to see some Shakespeare dolls! A brooding Hamlet (fullset comes with a skull! XD) or an ethereal Ariel (with fantasy parts for his transformations?) or a dignified Macbeth in Scottish dress or some carnival-themed Twelfth Night characters...the possibilities are endless!

    14. I'd love to see sculpts and full sets with a native american theme (not just north, but central and south as well). Aztecs, incans, inuit.... The possibilities are many!

    15. Rainbow Brite was made for BJDs. Someday I will make all of them into BJD form. Although could you imagine if someone actually made a line-up of Rainbow Brite and the color kids? With sprites to match? I would die.

Could we just rock all the 80s toys in BJD form? Like Jem and the Holograms, Strawberry Shortcake, etc. It would be awesome.

I also would love if we made all of Rick Riordan's series (Percy Jackson, Kane Chronicles, Magnus, Apollo, etc) into dolls. That combines all kinds of mythological characters from Greek, Roman, Egyptian and Norse mythology. Love that series.

And a bazillion times yes to Narnia.

And Daenyrys...oh for a BJD of her. Just think of the wardrobe.

    16. You guys have fantastic ideas. If these were true I'd be crazy for all of these dolls XD

    17. Little Red Riding Hood would be great! I actually plan to style one of my dolls to be this character. I find this theme soooo cute! :love

    18. It's definitely a public domain issue. That said, I'd love to see some Peter Pan dolls. :)

    19. Seconding the wish for Shakespeare-themed dolls!

And Camelot, with a full court of knights and ladies. Or fairy tales from around the world - wouldn't that be great, to have a doll company produce dolls from fairy tales around the world, maybe picking one really iconic story per region?

    20. The Hobbit, the Wind in the Willows, Watership Down, Star Trek (original series), Doctor Who, Elizabeth Peters characters ( the Emerson family), Jane Austen ( or any of her characters), characters from any of Charles De Lint's Newford stories (especialy Jilly Coppercorn and Geordie Riddle)
