If you could only have one BJD...

Ohhh noooo xD why did you have to post an Airi? Now my heart is conflicted... She's one of my favourite sculpts (Yours is very pretty! I love her hair colour and clothes~)


For me though I think it would probably be Pan, my grail doll... (Yes we share a name... It was his name first, I kind of stole it from him.) He WILL (when I get him...) be a Nanuri '14 on a MNF a-line girl with sanded boobies & alllllllllllll the handsss.

He's got a very versatile style, can wear dang near anything in any colour (except black/white/grey, he only does colours)... He's a an adorable, sassy little brat covered in rainbows... Yeah if I were limited to only one doll, I think I'd have the most fun with him. He would probably amuse me forever.

 

Well, it would hands down be my Enchanted Doll For a long time I htought she WOULD be my only BJD... but then I got caught by the bug and wanted MORE!!!!!

 

I only have one doll so it's obviously going to be my VOLKS Megu, Nadeko.
But I think that I would still choose her even if I had every doll on my wishlist.
I originally planned to change her eyes and have her repainted but when she arrived I really loved her eyes and face-up so she's not customized at all (I did change her hands to H-03 ones though), I also planned to switch her to a suwarikko body but I really like her un-jointed torso so that might not happen either
she's been with me since November 2, 2012 (almost 2 years already!) and hopefully we'll be together for many more years

When I only have a few dolls it was a lot easier to choose only one (my first, my CP Delf Elf El, Eluren). Now, I just CAN'T!!!!!

If I didn't think hard about it, maybe my Soom MD Sard, Araqiel... but I really can't have just ONE!

If I could only just have ONE, it would be Volks Okita Souji from the 2008 release. While I am not a big fan of volks, their dolls are appealing and owning one comes with the perks of having more variety available to you. A lot of companies base size on Volks and Volks itself has a lot doll item releases that I love. Another reason I pick this doll is because I like the person he is based on, love the shinsengumi!

Customizing him...I would get aesthetics done by my favorite artist and buy any outfit that I like. Having one doll means only having one to spoil. My doll wouldn't have a set character like my current ones so that would take away a little of my enjoyment.

Thinking about this makes me happy I have my crew because while I have to split my focus with them, I get more freedom than with having one.

 

Oh! That's a painful choice.
There are a few in my collection that if lost, I would be hard pressed to just physically replace them just because they were really unpopular or some such (much less that special spark that is my doll to me).

But…if it has to be just one…then…it would be Lily.



Lily has been with me almost 1 year and 3 months exactly (7 days off) she is a Volks SD16 Kira. I did her faceup myself.

…It breaks my heart a little just to think of the others that would be "left behind" even if it isn't real.

 

Torture of tortures. I love my Doll-Love bjds. But I would have to say Zuzu Delf Lip Griffon. Full set. I don't even have one but I so want one. I live griffons and I love kitties. :-)

 

Oh my god... ONLY ONE? That would kill me but if I had to absolutely pick ONLY ONE it would probably be C my Super Senior Delf Avalanche... He's the one doll I don't think I could ever part with no matter what... he's such an exceptional doll and one of my most important acquisitions to this day in this hobby...

 

My first BJD, Hiro (SD13 Volks Link). He's discontinued now and a little harder to find... but it would have to be him!



He has a custom faceup now because his original one from 2005 was getting worn... but he still wears his default style wig and eyes in his default color.

My first bjd, Lewis (Luts CP EL), turning 10 years old in January. He is my golden boy, I can't even fathom a group without him - taking him to my grave. He's had a handful of faceups over the years to best keep up with his age, and I think this is my favorite so far. He's only had one wig change, and it was just to update it to a better quality version; one eye swap only in those years, still the same basic color but different shade. He's become a very handsome tan color over the years and is basically stabilized to this color now.

 

Ironically, I'm only allowed to have one BJD, so this is pretty simple for me. Amiga.



She was my grail doll for a very long time. No, she's not resin or expensive by doll standards, but I've always loved her. From a distance for years, and now finally in my arms this year.

I'm aaaaaaaaaall about customizing, and have done plenty on her. I've done her face twice, I'm much happier with it now, and I've made all her clothes. I glued tiny white rhinestones to her earlobes with tacky glue to be her studs. She's the first doll I've done that to.

I've had her since February. Got her head in January.

She's my one and only full-sized doll. I make all her clothes out of pastel colored velour/panne. I like her because she smiles sweetly. It's even obvious in the shape of her eyes. My sister is a jeweler and makes jewelry for our dolls. She's made 2 necklaces for Amiga. I tried making her a denim jacket but it looks a lot like a suit jacket, especially with her jeans. I keep saying I'm never gonna make a faux denim thing ever again, then keep doing it. >.< Amiga's a romance writer, so she has a little laptop. ^.^ She has a pet cat names Mira. It's a McDonald's beanie baby that I made a collar for.

 

I guess I would go for the one most difficult (read expensive) to replace, the Enchanted Doll by Marina B. My husband would kill me if I didn't. )

 

That would be a really hard decision for me. Most of my dolls are LEs or have since been discontinued.
But I guess my first doll, my AS Kana, would still be the ONE doll, because she was the first doll that got me started. ^^

 

It is almost painful to pick between them, but if I had to it would be my Soom Heliot God Master. I put so much into obtaining him, and he is resin perfection in my eyes. I couldn't really imagine parting with any of my dolls, but in the event I had to, he would be the last to go. He is proof to me that dreams do come true

I would definitely choose Iplehouse Bianca
I'm only new to the hobby but i've spent a lot of time researching, and though i already have one girl and two more on order, Bianca is my dream doll. I will be keeping my beady eyes open for her.

As to why... it was just love at first sight, she's sensual as well as beautiful, feline and troublesome... perfect!

Ok, It'd have to be my Mike, a CP El. He's been with me since July 2005 and he's my baby. He was my first and I love him to pieces.

 

My fav doll is my Renji (IH Bichun) so if it weren't a matter of the house on fire (in other words, if & when I sell off most of my dolls because I'm old & feeble) then he's the one I'll keep.

 

If I could only have one doll for the rest of my days, I would have to say I would want that doll to be a Luts Delf LE Lu-Wen. Oh man, even the name of the sculpt gives me shiver. I have never wanted a doll so badly in my life. I have ever single aspect of his character planned out, from his origin story to the location of his birthmarks. I am so in love with him that I started buying clothes/eyes/wigs/shoes that he would wear even though I am no where near owning him just yet.
I started my love affair with Lu-Wen when I saw someone selling the vampire version of the sculpt on the MP. I didn't have the funds to buy him right away, but I knew that I would one day own that sculpt. Little did I know that I would have a falling-out with the vampire sculpt and channel all my love towards the human/elf head sculpt for this doll. I'll probably end up getting a vampire sculpt as well as a human one, but I'm trying to focus on one thing at a time right now
Since I have already started buying clothes and things for this grail doll of mine, I have a very good idea of what his style is going to be. He will have a light, mostly grey and white, colour scheme. I've already got his pinkish/purple eyes all ready for him, I only need his blond wig for him to be complete. Oh, and I need to actually buy the sculpt
