If you could only have one BJD...

Funnily enough it wouldn't be any of my current BJD's or the ones I've owned. I think it would be a MNF Celine or Chloe. Because I love MNF bodies and how they pose and the head sculpts are just SO versatile. I would give her a face-up myself and make a wig and outfit for her myself too. I think that way I would be able to bond with the doll MUCH better than if I buy everything.

 

My first thought was my Be With You Paprika. Although, now I'm 2nd guessing that because I couldn't live without a centaur. I love too many dolls. Simple as that.

 

Difficult because I have so many that I love....but Charlie is the one who will never go. He is a Souldoll Vito body/Bobobie Apollo head customized to be "The Little Tramp" Charlie Chaplin. When I finished putting him together I got online and realized I finished him on Charlie Chaplin's 126 birthday!

 

If my house went on fire I must save the most expensive Idealian and chicken run but “he” would not be the winner of “beloved thing contest” in a common day. This is my vampire Huika, bought in 08 August 2011.



I had spent two months doing a “BJD vampire list” to be sure about my first choice. Huika attended my criteria of creative art concept from the beginning. Eight dolls and nine heads after this incident only Infernale gave me the same unforgettable feeling of “sculpt made by fraternal gothic soul”.

 

I would find giving up most of my permanent dolls nearly impossible. The heads I don't want, no problem, but the others, ouch. If I had to pick a BJD and run out the door though it would be my Geordie. He's the doll I'm putting the most work into. He's a project that is very dear to my heart. It took me a long time to find the perfect head and get him all together on a really nice body. The others I could replace if need be, but Geordie? It could be done but it would be a lot harder. He's a $650 hybrid doll that I put together for about $200, not including clothes and so forth. I have other boys but he's definitely the one I'd probably keep if I had to give the rest up. Daisy, my Dai, she'd be very hard to give up too though. Of all my dolls those are the two that I consider my grail dolls...

 

It would have to be my charming obitsu.

This is hard for me to admit, because I have two modded minifees that literally could not be replaced and I don't know a scenario where I would sell them, but if I had to have just one, despite it being harder to find her clothes than a minifee, I'd keep my Delf If. But I'd upgrade her to a feeple60 body so she could pose more easily.

 

If there was a fire, first I would make sure my children and fur-babies were all safe, and if I could only save one doll, it would be MNF Chloe.

Yes, she's very common. But the moment I saw her last month on YouTube (which was an accident, I was looking for ways to help my little girl modify one of her Pullips) I became instantly obsessed with having her. Less than a month later I am a member here and I ordered her through DDE on layaway, which I want to pay off early. I have other types of dolls, some of which I have done myself from kits (painted and rooted hair, etc), but if I could have only one doll it would be MNF Chloe. I feel like a pregnant mother, getting clothes and things ready for her. I already love her even though she is not here yet.

 

Aaaaggghhh, Sophie's Choice! If I had to pick just one to own, I'd choose my current grail doll, MNF Mirwen. But since I don't actually have one yet, it's a toss-up between my Feeple60 Sionna and my MNF Chloe (who has a slight edge because she fits in all my Raouken MNF corsets).

 

I'd honestly be in a lot of trouble, because I have several favorites and I don't think I could choose between them... Harumatsu (my first-), Al (the one who represents the character dearest to me-), Muninn (my "project doll" and so the one who's most *mine*-)... I don't think I'd willingly part with any of those guys.

 

I don't have many dolls. . .yet. But since they all sit squished together on one shelf I could easily grab them all in case of a fire. But if I truly could only save one, it would be my darling Genesis(Tumnus) he's my baby. But ask me this again after my Becca arrives. I might feel the same about her.

 

My Infinitidoll Dreaming Louis is my absolute favorite character and doll, and is utterly irreplaceable since the company went under years ago and he was a super limited. He'd win the Highlander wars if there could be only one.

 

This is hard!! but If I was forced to I would choose this guy. Souldoll Kanguk. His personality is so fierce lol

Oooh this is HARD, but then I'm a relative newcomer with just 3 dolls .... though looking for my next!! I really like Iplehouse dolls - its just that they are quite a bit more expensive, but I hope someone will tell me they are worth it?

So my "one" doll would probably be Iplehouse Benny ....... probably. (I do like the ddoll Leia though)

 

Adding to my answer above where I said I'd grab my MNF Chloe, who is not even here yet.

I'm getting awfully attached to my Littlefee Bibi. So now I don't know.

I sort of think of them as young/old versions of each other, because Bibi's faceup resembles the default Chloe faceup, so maybe they can count as one?

If I had to pick just one, it'd have to be my Chiwoo, Lucian. He was my first doll, and I've owned him since 2005. He's my baby.

Although my stance on this is always changing. I would have to say it would be a Lillycat i don't know which one it would be, but it would definitely be a Lillycat, they are just so beautiful, i love their hands and everything. They have beautiful bodies and faces. (maybe Manon or Lyse) They are so expensive though but i'm pretty sure they are worth every penny
