1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

If you could set one standard to producing BJDs...

    1. My immediate thought is that bad actors would exploit this by selling their "extra" CoA's on the black market... but perhaps I'm too cynical...

    2. Every doll head and body would be, in an ideal fantasy world, available separately as well as together. Heads, bodies, headbacks, hands and feet. Don't make us buy a whole doll to Split except for like, certain fullsets. I'd have bought so many heads and bodies more if this were a thing people could do. I know why they don't- casting is complicated enough.
      But it'd be Really Cool.

    3. Oh man, headbacks especially! Selling separate faceplates and not separate headbacks is borderline a crime against humanity, if you ask me :vein

    4. Make them unbreakable,,,, (one can dream right?)
No but... For me, they must be able to stand on their feet easily

    5. Sanding seams when those are prominent, i don't mind subtle ones but I have 2 dolls with crazy seams that are very troublesome and in fact once cut my finger
Also I agree with blank pics of sculpts from all angles it is always helpful

    7. This. At this point in the hobby a lot of people don't have space for a lot of new dolls, but outfits and option parts take up a lot less space. I bought a Fairyland doll recently that, if the option to pay for just the resin parts of her fullset was there, I would have done that, but as it was I didn't feel like buying the fullset for a few option parts.

    8. All of this!
Plus, the option to change to a different body if that body would be compatible with the head of the doll you want. I was looking at doll recently, and it was offered only on a body that was more mature looking than I like for 1/4 size. They did not have the option to switch it to the less mature body, and even more insulting, there was no nude photos of the more mature body at all. Not anywhere! Everything was hidden under a fluffy dress, so you had no idea as to what the body looked like other than measurements and a bit of boobs peeking out.

    10. Oh gosh, I agree with all the comments about shoes. Standard shoe sizes (or better sizing) would be awesome. I have no idea which shoes will fit what dolls so I end up not buying any!

    11. Only one?

That's easy... Include/incorporate Pantone numbers into the descriptions of your resin colors.

Even if the values were only approximations, it would help A LOT when it came to making decent hybrids.

Not every company is good at keeping their colors consistent between resin batches, as we all know (Hello Soom. I'm looking at you, buster. <_< ) so it *would* have to be an approximation for some of them. But still. At least you'd have an idea rather or not Company A's "tan" was in the same ballpark as Company B's.

    13. Every dealer would be required to show a front and side view of the blank head. Every body would have to be shown in a crouched position, if capable of doing so. Accurate measurement of body parts in centimeters would be a given. If a company sells girls' bodies with extremely large feet, they should also offer shoes that fit those dolls.

    14. I'd also like to see faux leather bing avoided - I've spent a fortune over the years on the perfect style/size/colour of shoes or boots to fit my dolls aesthetics, only to have all that money wasted because the faux leather crumbled and flakes after a few years and ruins the shoes. These are shoes for DOLLS - it's not like they get any actual wear-and-tear - these shoules should be lasting forever.
