Illusion Spirit Doll Discussion

Chemcat: I own a Zhuqing and I can tell you that the pictures of the body on the eBay page are of the 1/3 size body. The 1/4 size body Zhuqing comes with does not have thigh joints. Also, mine is a little too tightly strung but with patience he does pose well and holds the poses with some fiddling. The only problem I have is that when you put his arm in a certain place it tends to snap back and he smacks himself in the face. Also his fingers aren't as detailed as some hands i've seen for 1/4 size dolls, but I don't see this as a problem (:

For those who bought Zhuqing, what skin type did you buy him in? I'm extremely interested in buying him but I just can't decide on what skin type I want.

 

Mine is white skin which is a nice creamy colour, although I can find in some lighting it can look a bit yellower. It is definately not the whitest I've seen but it is a nice colour.

 

I found a picture of this companies product on Ebay and found this page soon afterward. However when I clicked on the site provided in this link... Firefox gave me a warning that the site has somethign wrong with it.

I am wondering if anyone else found this as an issue.

 

I've found that the only thing to be wrong with Illusion Spirit's actual website is that sometimes it will not load properly or display the items. Well, this happens most of the time to be honest. It's never said there's been a problem with it though :/

 

I think I have the same issue. This is what firefox gave me:

"This web page at isdoll.com has been reported as an attack page and has been blocked based on your security preferences."

I think you're having the same problem? I don't know what's wrong with it... I'm too scared to just ignore it so yea...

 

I also got a warning saying something about malware.... I don't
play around with things concerning my computer so I closed it
pretty quickly

 

I just tried accessing the site again and now it says that it may harm my computer :/
I'd stick with Jeeryama on eBay..

 

NO!!!!!!! he was strung so tight that i cant move his arm with out his head popping into another position. he also has a little belly pop, but that isn't as bad as some of the belly pop i have seen. to be honest i think it is a mix of a poor job stringing him and his joints not being as nice as they could, but then again it is all a matter of how hard you are to please.

overall his arms and hands pose nice but his legs, neck and torso joints are not the best.

 

Ooh, that's disappointing... I guess it's best to take company photos with a grain of salt, though...

 

try restringing him? i did that to mine and he was fine then

 

Just wondering has anyone ordered and received a LanXing? I am quite taken by the head. I do have an NS DZ msd boy body I was looking to get a head for and he just touched my heart. Just wondering if there were any owner pictures of him?

 

man!! i havent been on this thread in a while!

when it comes to how tight he was strung i just played with him a bit and did that rubber band trick and he poses much better now.

to be honest most of my msd's need a good re-stringing but i am too nervous to do it by myself i have only done tiny dolls and yosd's.

does any one have any tips for getting the right amount of tightness for the knot that goes around the S hook?

So what color skin would you say Zhu Qing's sample photos are? I've spent a stupid amount of time trying to figure it out, but since I have issues with color it wasn't working very well. It's really bugging me that I can't figure it out now. -.-;

 

i think it is the normal yellow. my guy is the normal yellow and they look almost the same. but just a heads up they up the saturation in their pics so the skin may seem darker and the face up is waaaay darker in the pics than it is in real life. dont get me wrong the face up is really nice but it just isnt as dark as the pics.

 

Thank you! I was leaning towards normal yellow, but I wasn't really sure because the color blanace changed depending on what angle I was looking at my monitor from.
