1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Illusion Spirit Doll Discussion

Sep 4, 2009

1. The pic will need to wait until tomorrow as it's getting late where I am and I'm not long for bed. I will take some shots although by the time I get home from work, it's dark out and that leads to questionable picture quality since the lighting in my apartment is not the best.

2. Okay, here you go. Bear in mind it's full dark at the time of the pic, I have crappy lighting in my apartment and my camera hates me. I have a more close up shot of the torsos if you want to see it, but figured the overall shot would give you more info about the body sizes.

Sarojin (IS ZhuQing) is the grey doll and Jaiseki (AoD Min) is the other. Sarojin was a 2011 purchase and Jaiseki was a 2008 purchase. As you can see the IS boy is a good bit taller than the AoD but it seems to be mostly torso. They are both double jointed, 3-part torsos and the IS has the mobility joint in the thigh which AoD does not. Even without body blushing, the AoD has the more muscular, defined body. Both dolls stood well straight out of the box.

3. Hello The Ghostii! I thought I would share my Illsuion Spirit body with you since it differs from Iron_dog's a bit. I bought mine in very early 2012.

You can see there's a bit more definition in the torso and the torso joint is slightly different. He also has different joints at his elbows and knees and no waist joint. But all together, he's not exactly "masculine". At least not as masculine as a few other 1/4 dolls I've seen, though I'm in love with his broad shoulders.

4. I like the elbow and knee joints on your boy. I wonder why they changed to a 2-part torso?

5. Don't know if this joins in the discussion but Illusion Spirit have beautiful articlated hands. I have transplanted them successfully onto the EID and SID dolls. Color skin matches have been wonderful and their ability to extend the amount and degree of posing, as well as to put on REAL gloves instead of the ones that look like ski mittens is just so wonderfully enabling. I fully advise anyone to experiment with their dolls re these hands because it really lends to beyond the scope experience.

6. I'm so happy to have found the Illusion Spirit thread! I own an Illusion Spirit Ying Ye and was wondering if there was another owner here. :)

I'm a newbie myself, but my friends in the local comm (more experienced members) say that they were kind of surprised because she's the tallest MSD in the community (she's taller than the tallest MSD boy in the community), and she seems to be a little awkward in sizing. I've tried MSD dresses on her but the ones I've tried seem to be much too tight and short for her, and I nearly end up ripping them just getting them on her. O.o But I don't want to go ahead and buy SD-size, because I think they'd be too big.

Any owners here have a recommendation on what could possibly fit her comfortably? ^^; Would be very much appreciated...

7. Welcome! Your girl is gorgeous.

I have some problems finding clothing for my IS mini, too. Most mini clothes are too short in the arm and leg. If you don't want to try SD clothing (which makes sense to me; that would be way to big), why not give Zaol or other 50cm doll clothes a try? I haven't myself, but since it's inbetween SD and mini that might work better.

8. I'm in love with the body sculpt on the MSD girl body, but I've had the hardest time finding out how the posing is on her! This doll would be my first MSD size, and my first on topic doll, too. I'm really scared to commit without finding out more.

9. A little Sarojin (ZhuQing) spam.

10. Hi,

Just wondering how Illusion Spirit 1/4 boys would look beside Iplehouse's JID Girls. Pictures would be appreciated.

@Penny: I'd like to know which skin color did you use to match IH's skin color. I'd love to use the jointed hands too!

11. Can I Please Have Any Of You Who May Have Illusion Spirit White Skin Doll & A Resinsoul Normal Skin Doll Post A Comparison Picture? Please & Thank You

12. It's quiet in here... does anyone know if the Illusion Spirit heads can safely go down one eye size, or if it'll create gapping? I want to get some eyes for my (hopefully incoming) LanXing, and need to know what size I should go with.

13. Mmm exactly one size like 14mm to 13mm, or down one common size like 14mm to 12mm? Some 14mm have a less than 1mm gap, like super small so 12mm I wouldn't suggest :/
Just out of curiosity what eyes are you looking to get? :)

14. I'm looking at Ersa Flora; I've actually gotten word that my doll has in fact arrived at MOC now, too, so I'll have a chance to check myself before placing the order. :)

15. Any suggestions on finding pants to fit the 1/3 boys? My poor Crete (named Jax) has been sitting around in boxers since I got him, because all the pairs of pants I have for 1/3 boys don't fit. They usually end up too short in the hip/waist area (not good to take a dolly out in public with his bum showing!), and too tight, especially around the crotch area. :( I can't really afford to keep buying pants till I find one that fits properly, and my sewing skills are so bad that I can't handle trying much with my low frustration tolerance. Haha. Poor Jax needs pants!!!

16. aim7, you might try the 1/3 IS discussion. This is only for the 1/4 dolls. :)

17. Oops, I'm a derp!! XD
