I don't remember if some of the other ones were single resin tone offerings maybe another member knows for certain, but I was able to choose on at least a couple of the pre-orders in 2021/2022. maybe it was simpler to do this way this time to help with volume.

 

I somehow managed to get one, even though it’s waaaay into the order period. I’m really excited I’ve admired IG for a long time and can’t wait to work on painting one!

 

How big of a neck does evening bane have? I'm planning on getting one off the marketplace soon and I want to start body hunting for him.
I'd also like to know if there's a good 2023 lace white match?

 

I’m pretty sure all IG heads are the exact same size. IG says they’re for 65-70cm bodies, So I’m assuming the neck would be 10.5cm since that’s the average.

My head is home and I like him a lot and yeah he's definitely a 10.3cm head. I admit I'm still stumped on what will match his resin body wise...

 

my lace white's are the older resin tone so far (2022 and older), and I guess Vings had a close match you could special order for that series, but I've only the Volks white match from them. the only IG matched body I have is for the old vanilla white, it's from Popodoll.
the cream blossom is also difficult, but blushing to minimize the transition goes a long way with all of them.

the new one incoming, I'll have to compare once he's here, but I had been thinking of trying these:
Switch rosy white, IOS white, DC/DZ peach, dollshe/dollstown fresh. maybe Universe Doll's beautiful white.
hard to tell from pictures if the undertones will be pink or something else like yellow or grey. I'm really glad to be waiting for him though.

 

Also trying my luck here: are there any good matches for Pale Blossom (2021)? :3

 

I've been researching a colour match to Pale Blossom... so far, this is the closest I've found.

Left headcap is Switch powder beige (resin matched by Joydoll [Lai 2023]; I don't own actual Switch resin), right headcap is IG pale blossom (Johan, 2024). The pics were taken in different natural light conditions, on the same cloudy day within minutes of each other.
L-R: outdoors, indoors next to window, indoors away from window (I just turned around)



Switch PB is a bit more peachy and flesh-toned, while IG PB has the same undertone but is noticeably pinker in hue. Both are roughly the same value (lightness). Under some lighting the mismatch is barely visible, while other lighting shows it clearly.

I think it's a decent match, but it's not ideal. I originally dismissed Switch PB because I felt the mismatch was too much for me, but my research wasn't yielding useful info and I'm getting tired of constantly searching, so I'm now considering it again. "Close enough is good enough" in this case. And IG PB might mellow out and lose some of that strong pink over time.

Spoiler: another comparison pic on a sunnier day

On a different, sunnier day -- IG PB (left), Switch PB (centre, headcap only), and LUTS realskin normal (right). The colour mismatch shows up a lot clearer between IG PB and Switch PB. LUTS rs normal has a clearly yellowish undertone, it won't match at all.

Another resin that could match is Mia pink, but I haven't tracked down comparison pics for it yet.

Doll tax ... I recently painted Finch (my Johan), here he is hanging with my Volks girl. He's borrowing another doll's body (Doll Family-H 65cm boy), and I plan to hybrid him to a 65cm male body as well. I think he can get away with being shorter than the recommended 68-70cm. Hoping to buy it soon!
