Hi. I'm thinking of getting a immature MSD size doll, this doll wil be a model for my sewing, so what doll is most average/standard size do you think ?
The main immatures (with links to measurements) are: Volks MSD - the first mini BJD. In general, all clothes called MSD are expected to fit Volks MSD. So measurements close to theirs would be good: http://www.denofangels.com/mvolks.html others Kid Delf which has had 2 different immature bodies old body measurements http://www.denofangels.com/mcp.html new body measurements here but missing chest. Someone measured the new gitl chest as 18.42cm (7.25 inches) http://www.eluts.com/frontstore/mai...me=LUTS-OPTION+PARTS&s_name=Parts+of+KID+DELF Dollmore Kid (has had two immature bodies) old measurements: http://www.denofangels.com/mdollmore.html new measurements: http://dollmore.net/shop/step0.php?...060204124533&c_code=C20060204124307&pagenow=2 Dream of Doll "DOC" with immature body (but many bodies available incl. mature and long-legged) original body measurements and long-legged diffs http://www.denofangels.com/mdod.html I do not know of measurements for the new double-jointed boy body. Blue Fairy Tiny Fairy with immature body and Angel Region which is supposedly same body mold as immature Blue Fairy http://www.denofangels.com/mar.html Carolyn
I would think the MSD would be the "standard", the other thing about them is that they're generally a bit chubbier than other minis so even though the clothes might be a bit big, you won't have as much fit trouble as you might if you chose a slimmer doll and the clothes were too small for a Volks MSD. But so long as you note in your sales posts what body they were made for (i.e. a note saying "All mini clothes were made using a Volks MSD boy/Kid Delf new girl body/whatever, and may not fit other bodies perfectly" or something like that, in a visible place in the post), people should be able to work it out. : )
