Yeah I bought an Imara and it looks like her

I’m forever regretting I didn’t grab a Nicholas before he was disconinued! They discontinued a lot of fabulous sculpts…

So I ordered a Mila head a few weeks back to pair with a Feeple65 that I have spare here I’m hoping she’ll fit on there… my second Impl lady!

A looong time ago when I got my Lanny they also sent me a free head and I never worked out what the sculpt is I think it’s Azalea but I’m not entirely sure… then I used the head for faceup practice… I can post some pictures tomorrow if anyone here could help me put an ID on it that would be awesome

 

Impldoll is clearing out their old molds and images and now I'm disappointed! I was hoping to get an Acorn/Acron some day and he's vanished into the ether. If anyone has images from their older idol and model lines, I'm feeling the nostalgia. I'm so glad I got Tony, he's probably next on the chopping block.

 

@A Wee Tiefling oh no! he was one of my favorites back in the day! I have again been lamenting that I didn’t buy Esther or Akasha when I could of as I recently fell in love with those sculpts >.> reminds me I need to check if they have discontinued Alberta!

On the other hand I need to start fixing up my Eudora as I’ve decided she’s staying… I thought about selling her on as I got so overwhelmed with work stuff last year that I didn’t have much time for dolly stuff but thanks to my lovely friends idea of having her and my incoming Mila as sisters I’ve decided to keep her! Just need to fix up a wardrobe for her and get her another wig~

 

I know! Some of their classic sculpts were just so unique and full of character. Alberta is also discontinued, she was always limited.

I need to make pants for Tony's dumptruck. I don't need anything else but they are sure hard to clothe. (looking askance at my Impls as they haven't had a change of wardrobe in months)

 

I wish Impl would have given some notice that some of the sculpts were being discontinued. I would have at least ordered a few heads. So glad that I have my Alberta.

 

I would've snatched up Akasha!! I was planning on reshelling a character and I just kept putting it off. if I had the money now I'd just email them directly and ask.

Here's two of my boys! In the front is a heavily modified John (named Jack) and in the back for some more old-school looks is a Bosco (named Henry). Kind of a final photo before I repaint them this year. Jack is the first doll I ever painted.

I wonder if it's worth it to email the Impldoll site and ask them if the promo pics could stay up (and if the sculpts are fully discontinued or just getting rehabbed).
Didn't someone here have a Harwick?! I'd love to see that old sculpt!

 

I mean they're fairly responsive but also the lunar new year is this week

 

I just wanted to jump in and say that I managed to snag an Impl Triton Son of the Sea on Facebook this weekend! He has some damage--missing headcap, broken ear and fingers--but I'm really excited to fix him up!! He should be here Friday-ish He's gonna be my first Impl and my second 1/3 doll!

 

@Saphira how cool! I love the ridges and spikes he has! You need to post pictures when he arrives!!!!

Also I caved and emailed Impl to see if I could grab an Akasha head. I figured it was better to ask sooner than later (the mold still might be kicking around) and I can fit in my budget if I cut some other spending I'll keep updated on success or failure.

Reporting back: I got a very fast reply, and she is no longer for sale. Dang. I hope to find her secondhand someday.

 

I hope we'll get more info on the new 63ish cm muscle girl soon! They announced and/or released the new 1/4 girl and the new smaller 1/3 girl with a release date since they posted about the muscle girl saying she was coming soon, but no other peeks or a date for her. The new smaller 1/3 girl looks really nice and I'm tempted to get her when she's out but i want to compare her to the muscle girls first xD

 

I made a wig and bought some eyes for my Imara.

 

The eyes and wig look great on her. What color skin tone is she?

That tan looks like their old Real skin. I'd love to see a comparison to other company tans.
I'm debating getting one of the newer bodies in the Impl dark tan but I'm wondering how it's changed.

 

I'm also curious about any color matches with the new colors! I'm interested if anyone has a color that matches Fairyland well or if the brown skin matches Soom tan? I know I read on their insta they mentioned real skin matches Fairyland, but my RS is waaaay too light for my FL heads.
