Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     1. I got this mad idea that my doll needed a doll. I wrestled with getting a Pukipuki for a day or two before I ended up getting another type of doll of a similar size. Within a day I purchased clothes, a wig, eyes and the doll. Later I couldn't help but think 'MAN what an impulse!'

    4. I consider myself to be mostly out of the hobby, so I rarely have impulse moments now. Unfortunately, last Dec I opened an email from Peakswoods and saw that they not only had a new skin color, but a new attractive Dandy boy (Kasspio). I kept thinking how good he'd look with the impulse Peakswoods Dandy boy I'd bought the year before (Tristan), and gave in pretty quickly. But then it gets worse. Once again, like an idiot I open an email from Peakswoods in Feb and see yet another cute Dandy in a new skin tone (Keith). So, now I'm going to have a trouple of Dandy boys all fullsets in different skin colors! I need to ask Peakswoods to quit emailing me! It is nice to be looking forward to new dolls again, though. I think Kasspio should arrive in a couple weeks and Keith in June/July. Also, once Tristan arrived I never regretted getting him, so I hope it will be the same with these new boys.

      As for how to avoid impulse buys, I've run out of room for them in my display cases. My Dandy boys are going to have to get some special display or be stuck in a drawer...

      Also, I'm more picky now. If a doll doesn't offer something unique (like a new skin color or unusual face-up), I can pass. I don't have broad tastes, so most dolls I like resemble one I already own. I'll also add that I've never regretted NOT buying a doll that I had an opportunity to get, but I've regretted buying many.

    5. I live on impulse buys. Not just for this hobby, but for literally everything in my life. From clothes, to makeup, to even my car... All impulse buys. Haha.

      I do, however, make sure I have enough spending money to make purchases though. I do have bills and adult responsibilities to consider.

      But yes, my very first doll is considered an impulse buy and I'm super excited to receive her. I hope I don't regret this purchase ! :)
