1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Sep 8, 2021

    1. @AdanneO Lovely Lucia - she looks very smart in her new outfit!

      @AntarelNefertili I think I discovered your lovely Scarlet on Flickr before...lovely to see her here!

      @luluna Beautiful photo of Ivy!

      @EmeraldPixie Stella is so lovely - she deserves to be out of her box now - lovely to see you have Isabel too.

      It is fantastic to see all these beautiful photos - it is seriously prompting me to try for some new photos to share!

    2. There is one still for sale on facebook i believe. If you search the group "Iplehouse Secondhand BJD Sales/Trades/WTB"

    3. @AdanneO thank you! She is still available. Iโ€™m a little nervous that they pulled
      Sculpts with little warning. I think my next paycheck is gonna have to have her name on itโ€ฆ.

    4. Is it on the new model body? Though doesn't matter if it is I've spent my doll funds else where.
      Thank you @Glitt3rGalaxy for the link though.

    5. i think it is, sorry if your message is older. i thought i was on the current one. I just got her in yid body but had been looking at her.

    6. Well as not in the budget not much I can do, but nice of you let me know about it.

    7. Has anyone tried or found or even made doll house parts for dolls over 60 cm? I really want to make one or get one. The doll needs place to stay and sleep. Dust can be a nightmare and it needs a hideout

    8. @Starry City Hopefully you can get her.

      @zu23 I keep mine(1 boy YID, 1 girl YID, a Souldoll Zenith, & smaller dolls) seated in a closed Iris 103 qt. Weathertight Tote with Wheels when I'm not using them. I plan on making dioramas for them using 3D printing, but after photoshoots they'll go back in the bin.

    9. kohaku.creates on IG has one. it takes up a whole wall

    10. Another just because photo, this time, the serious HID Doria :)

    11. What about making a doll house out of legos?

    12. A full dollhouse will be huge. Some people make rooms that can be disassembled for storage.

    13. @zu23, I collect Lego sets as well as dolls and trust me when I say to make a 1/3rd scale doll home out of Lego would not be at all a reasonable cost for your project. It'd take thousands and thousands of Lego blocks and those add up for cost fast even under the buy by the brick option. A box of 1500 assorted pieces costs 59.99$. Which might seem like a lot of bricks, but when you take into account that the Lego Ghostbusters Firehouse was 4634 pieces and makes a building shorter then a YID in height you get an idea of it. I have no idea how people like the guy behind "The Art of the Brick" get enough pieces for their art.

      Side note I've been thinking of making a table top doll house style room for my dolls, maybe two. One for the 1/3rds and one for MSDs. Right now a good many of my Iplehouse dolls are setting on chairs around a doll sized coffee table modeled to be in the middle of a D&D game. So like my brain keeps going how hard would it be to just give this scene walls?

    14. I agree that Lego will cost too much in the long run, considering how big these dolls are and the sheer amount of pieces you'll need to make just one wall to encompass their height.

      I've made collapsible wall panels using craft paper-covered cardboard before, with see-through origami tessellations whose patterns only show when backlit. To set things up and hang curtains or the occasional fairy lights, I utilize those collapsible metal grids that are often used for modular pet enclosures (like this). The photo below is one of the older photos of Scarlet with two of my other dolls keeping her company, but here's one of my behind-the-scenes photos showing what I mean (no IH dolls there, so I could only link it).

      Origami Screens
      by Yela Gatchalian-David, on Flickr

      Do note that I only used cardboard for the screens because I have ZERO woodworking skills. I'm pretty sure collapsible wood panels, properly painted and decorated, could be accomplished faster (and cleaner!) by a person with the requisite abilities.

    15. @Tippetarius & @AntarelNefertili
      Yeah, Lego is unfeasible. Think I might make a small room for it out of plywood and paint it Think one room will suffice. Think the main things I need inside the room are a bed and clothes rack to store all the clothes. Wonder if anyone has made one of those white rooms with lights in the background that they use for photo shoots. Will be taking loads of photos of my doll and be using them as references for drawing.

      @nancy_schroeder_ca
      One room seems the best way to go.

      Still curious to why I barely find an appeal to other dolls except for iplehouse once I put my eyes on them I couldn't stop gazing. The beauty of iplehouse dolls are stunning. Just something about them they have a twinkle in there eyes the face standout and the face expressions are jaw dropping the expression is so fabulous it stays with you in your memory making them memorable

    16. You might consider Gatorboard for the walls. It is a very stiff foam core board but is lighter and easier to handle than wood.

    17. General question. How long does it take for a payment to go through on Iplehouse? I just paid through PayPal and the money has gone but my order on the site still says unpaid. Do they have to confirm it on their end manually?

    18. @Sophiasyddall - It could take a day...but I also always post a message on the Q&A and reference the order number and say I just made a payment....that ususally will get a response...in a day...time difference and all that.

    19. @luluna Thank you. I will do that. Can I ask one other really newbie newbie question? What are points and what can they be used for? I only see them listed on the site as rewards.
