1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Iplehouse Discussion (YID, nYID, SID, EID, HID) Part 13

Sep 8, 2021

    1. Thanks @Bren !! I've loved making these velvet gowns for years - and this really has
been my favorite body to sew for!

And - here Siean again - on the SID small bust body - gets her second velvet gown!
This one is a jewel tone in the crushed velvet (my favorite). I had thought this one
would be "her" signature gown, but I think I may prefer the sky blue! She'll keep
them both - and probably a few more as time goes on!

    2. @Robyn_in_WA Beautiful! I really like your velvet gowns!!! :)

    3. @Robyn_in_WA You know I think she is stunning, as is her gown!
Sharing one of my dolls based on JR Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series of books. Lassiter is getting his own book next month, so thought it only fitting I get my representative of him out for some new photos. Unfortunately his head has gotten rather yellow, even though his body has not, but he was originally from one of their early head sales, so the body originally belonged to someone else. Makes me kind of sad, as there is no re-doing this one since Lyn is no longer painting. Oh well, I can still enjoy him and edit the photos to black and white if need be, lol.
More photos on my block devoted to all the dolls in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series that I have shelled with Lyn's help over the years.

    4. @Frillseeker,

you are right. They have made lot's of changed on how they are selling their dolls.

I do own a smalll busted SID girl, it fits her character, but I usually go with the medium or large. I do I love the way Iple designed their bodies. For the Model SID or nSID, I don't care for the knees or their elbows. I like the older style better.

      @Robyn_in_WA,

She looks beautiful no matter what she wears. I really love the color of the second dress. Boy she sure shines. I do like Sien. I have an one, the elf one. Got a thing for elves. ;) She's one that you don't see very often. You see Mirwen or Chloe a whole lot more.

      @JinCIncy

Love your Lassiter. You could always say he's starting to glow with his angelic power, the reason why his countenance glows a bit more than his body.

    5. Thanks for this! I didn't know Dollshe changed their oriental. I always thought Iplehouse normal had more pink undertone than Dollshe oriental but I might be totally mistaken. Seriously, resin matching is always such a pain — you never know 100% if it's a match until you have all the parts in your hands.

    6. I'm back, my friends! I just managed to snag a Bianca second hand, so when she gets here, I'll finally have something to post here again! I missed my old Bianca from back in the day, so I decided I needed one again and lucked out! Good thing I have a bunch of nYID clothes she can wear!

    7. @Robyn_in_WA - Love your medieval blue dress! Sian is lovely.
@JinCIncy - Love your Lassiter! He is the most individualistic Bichun I've ever seen!

While I'm here gawking at the pretties...here's another whose Iple faceup was really well done only about a little over a year ago...Scar Leonard.

    9. I have both Dollshe old Oriental and new Oriental, and various Iple NS parts from along the years. My verdict would be that old (pre-2019) Dollshe Oriental matches Iple NS well, although brand new Iple NS will be pinker than the Oriental. But, Iple NS usually mellows a little and loses the pinkest edge even when kept in the dark, so the "issue" shouldn't be present for long. New (2019 or newer) Dollshe Oriental is pinker AND darker than Iple NS. My Diana is a few years old, so although kept in dark, she's probably mellowed a bit so that she's lost the pinkest hues, but still has a darker peachy tone compared to all my Iple NS.

I prefer the old SID body over the new one, the new one is a bit too slim and long legged for my preferences. I don't currently own the old SID but I plan to buy a SID Aurora this year in Light Brown. I'm just waiting with my money at this point because I have had ongoing post-viral (influenza, yay) health issues which have lasted for months, but there's hope that I heal from it. I have promised myself that I will buy Aurora once I've healed. As a sort of reward for fighting through this unpleasant and uncertain phase in life, I guess. I've had my eyes on an Aurora for forever, but she always got pushed aside when I had more tempting dolls to buy. Now, however, I've just basically laid in bed and not bought much anything for 4 months, so I finally have money to spare!

    10. My Bianca has arrived and she's just lovely! I got the old faceup wiped, but I have to wait to do her faceup since it's raining and my MSC hasn't gotten here yet -sigh- so no photos just yet. She's claimed a wig and some eyes for now (though the eyes may change when i get her faceup done) currently black wild curls and brown eyes - but possibly nearly black blue eyes. We'll see.

    11. Awwww @vauhtikatti hopefully your recovery will proceed without a hitch. Aurora will be a good silver lining to what you've been through *hugs*

If my aesthetic-judging self had all the say, I would have bought my Mari on the old SID. :whee: But her character is meant to be slender compared to her female partner, so on to the nSID she went (and on the small bust too, just to further drive the point across).

Speaking of aesthetics, I'm seriously considering 100% Iplehouse-ifying my Scarlet, meaning I'll get her the HID female bod instead of her current hybrid build. Make no mistake, the Impldoll MGB poses like a champ, but her thin arms are buggering me these days (she treads the delicate balance between ripped and more matronly). To those who own the HID bod, what's your verdict on its posing? At this point, I'm willing to sacrifice some mobility if it meant she'll be closer to my IH Mari and Granado Michael in terms of sculpting.

    12. I am a fan of the Iplehouse HID body (by the way your Mari looks gorgeous here :)

The HID body is of course heavy and tall but I don't have any issues with the posing...I'd love more HID girls :) If you go to my Flickr albums page I have this Aaliyah, Aileen and an Elle all on the HID body...

    13. @AntarelNefertili Thanks! :kitty2 Having owned two HIDs myself, I think they don't differ much from the other Iples, and are maybe most similar to nYID/old SID (except they have the new kind of elbows which old SIDs have only had since 2019). The elbow mobility is not all as great as the renew old SID that has longer grooves in her elbow peanuts to fit the elastic, but it gets the job done. Really the only thing that's bothered me is the ankles on HID. Unlike nSID, HID ankles don't have stoppers at the front, which means heel feet are as stable as wet spaghetti in some shoes. Now, if the HID body would fit nSID feet, I don't remember...

    14. I decided to take advantage of the Iplehouse SID extra head event with Edan + Claude head (I'll get EID bodies for both of them). Are 12 mm eyes best for SID sculpts?

@vauhtikatti Thank you for all the info! I'll probably bin my Iplehouse/Dollshe hybrid plans then and get Zera with the old SID body. Though, I did order Dollshe 26F Lisa... Wishing you a speedy recovery! Pikaista paranemista! ❤️

    15. @melomelo I saw Lisa's mold is done and first Lisas are shipping out, so I hope you don't wait too long anymore! Zera for sure will be faster, at least. And thank you, kiitos!

    16. As an owner of an nYID, nSID, EID, and HID, I can tell you the feet are identical.

EID and HID use the same hands.

nYID and nSID also can share hands, but both have smaller hands than EID/HID - and nYID hands are, how do I put this? Puffier? Younger.

nSID hands are thinner with more bone showing. nYID hands are sculpted to be more like kids' hands with the extra subcutaneous layer of fat underneath (which is normal! You want that when you're younger!).

    18. I don't like the large hands of EID/HID woman so, I actually put the "YID woman fantasy hands on my EID/HID ladies! yes, the wrist of the hand part is a bit smaller than the larger wrist hole of the arm but, really, it does work ;)

    19. I use HID/EID female fist hands on one of my nSID model female bodies just fine, and they look good on it. The character is a transmale and I am debating if I want to mod his small bust to a flat chest, or just deal with using clothing to hide it.
That aside from him I learned the SID model girl body can share hands with EID/HIDs and shoes with all the female 1/3 sizes at Iplehouse plus can wear a lot of shoes for male nYID boys too.

    20. Well, Fedex still hasn't brought me my MSC, but I was able to get my girl painted up with the little that remained in the bottom of two cans. So everyone, meet Dove!
