Iplehouse Discussion (YID, nYID, SID, EID, HID) Part 13

Sep 8, 2021

    1. If Iple already had the HID female when they first released Scarlet in the Carved Heritage series, she'd have rocked it as a pirate queen. And re: the corset top, I literally sewed the lace sections around her torso, string attachments and all, to ensure that what ought to be covered are covered. :XD: Her bust was ample enough to hold things up on their own with the right placement of things.

    3. I just came back here to see if you still wanted to see that hybrid, cuz I've got Isabel on the piano and nYID Bianca nearby.

    4. wow. More beauties. Scalet rocks the HID body. And Pamela face up makes her looks so soft and sweet than I usually find with this face sculpt. Louis is a cutie and I love his eyes.

It's been a while since I had Liberty out. She's one of my favorite Haraces...

    5. Awwww look at that lovely Harace! There's something about her sculpt's expression that makes one want to give her a big hug.

I used my Scarlet's HID bod as a guinea pig to practice my chest/hand blushing skills. Tis really striking to see how a bit of color can make a doll look more alive; a shame body blushing is such a pain to maintain! :...( The image below has some crucial bits hidden...

    6. @AntarelNefertili What a good observation. I have a very white doll (actually two) that needs some blushing, I will try it.

    7. I just paid customs ransom for SID Aurora, so she should be here on Thursday. I'll leave to our summer cottage to celebrate midsummer the same day, and I prefer not to take her with me because there'll be a lot of drunken people and smoke, so I'll meet her properly on Monday if I cannot open her before I have to go. :XD:

While I waited for Aurora's tracking to appear, my order history page kindly reminded me of the fact that since 2019, I have spent 10 SD dolls' worth at Iple's site, but apart from the now-coming Aurora, I do not actually own any Iplehouse dolls that aren't second hand purchases. Now I know why I always feel like my collection isn't growing but something's constantly eating my funds. Ahem. Revolving door.

    8. It's incredible what a little extra blushing can do for a doll. But I completely hear you on how hard it is to maintain. :sigh At least all my blushing work is done by me so I don't have to spend money and wait constantly to get it fixed. Small wins.

    9. Speaking of white resin and body blushing, here's my Mari whom I recently gave some minor chest blushing and an updated faceup. Her character's a ghostly gal to begin with so she doesn't need much color, but that doesn't mean she won't appreciate some glamour. :XD:

    10. I love that sculpt and I love Iplehouse's white resin sm it's really not so paper white which really works for some characters

    11. What are shipping costs to US these days? (SID size)

    12. Expensive, I looked at shipping for an SID boy and it was like $126 USD to the US.

    13. I ordered in March, delivered in May of this year, my shipping cost to east coast of the US was $152 dollars soooo not cheap

    14. To be fair, when my girl got shipped out, I didn't get a shipping notice or anything, she just kinda appeared on my doorstep and there was a bunch of snow so hats off to them for zooming her over here

    17. I need to recharge after updating so many crew faceups (not the least these three -- middle guy is a Granado Noah). :sweat Happy to see the Dark-Clothes Gang together again, though!
