1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Iplehouse Discussion (YID, nYID, SID, EID, HID) Part 13

Sep 8, 2021

    1. Just popping in with Aileen who got a new hat :) It was my first successful attempt at crochet and I made a little bobble for the top which doesn't really show in the photos...it's winter here in NZ so she's dressed for the cold.

    2. @LyanneNZ With that frosty-looking background, she really looks dressed for the weather. I couldn't crochet for the life of me, kudos to your efforts!

    3. Thanks @AntarelNefertili I did snap some pics of her outdoors but ended up preferring these ones.

Just finished up a knit garment...it must be that it's winter and I've been moved to bring out yarns and knitting needles and crochet hooks LOL.

    5. @LyanneNZ - The knit sweater is marvelous! And your Elle is gorgeous in it. (She really makes me want to do a red lipped Elle!) :)

While I'm here...a photo of my nSID Stella...

    6. She's amazing! Looks like J-Lo :D

    7. I love this outfit! Madame may I ask what yarn and needle and hooks you used for the top and the hat? I also like to knit and crochet. I usually knit and crochet with 2mm, knit still looks okay but crochet seems quite bulky, but then again depends on what kind of garment…

    8. I love this set, where did you get it?

    9. @luluna You absolutely need a red lipped Elle...haha...and I need another to do a different make up on too ;) I love your nSID Stella! So pretty in this soft pink!

@dollfan I used some leftover baby yarn, a soft 4 ply for the hat and a size 2 crochet hook. It turns out quite thick as you can probably see. I wouldn't use this for any smaller dolls. I am a total newbie to crochet so when I began I thought I was doing a chain long enough to go around her head so I was aiming for a 1/4 scale doll but then I realised it was worked from side to side LOL...shows you how much I know about crochet...so that's how it came to be for my larger dolls. Here is the tutorial ...I hope I am allowed to link here...

As for her top that was a machine knit that my Mum made years ago. Sadly she has become too frail for knitting machines which she used from her teen years until recently. I am really just experimenting with knitting and crochet. It's nice to have something I can work on in a few minutes here and there :) Have fun with your projects!

    10. @Haven_Of_Dolls336 - Thank you! The set is called SD Pink Satin Drawers Set and it's from SartoriaJ.

@LyanneNZ - Thanks so much! I do love my Stella! And I do have an Elle head I could do some red lips on...:wiggle

    11. @luluna Yes! SartoriaJ clothing fits Iplehouse bodies like a dream. I love SartoriaJ clothing for my Iplehouse girls.

    12. I knew I recognized that set! That does confirm my hope that I want to try to get a set or two for Giselle... my poor wallet :sigh

    13. She looks so sweet @luluna -- the colors suit her so well! I recently bought female clothes from SartoriaJ, and was really happy with the fit on both my nSID and HID ladies. (Perhaps Adhara's sweethearts would be a little *too* happy because the cleavage was vah vah voom on the HID large bust.)

But until I get photos of the clothing haul, here's Mari and Scarlet together:

    14. @MaleficentMrsofEvil - Yes, SartoriaJ clothing usually works rather well on Iples. Especially on the nYIDs and nSIDs. Thank goodness! :)

@Haven_Of_Dolls336 - Yes the top fits snug on this nSID body...which is slightly skinnier than the regular older SID body...but the little shorts are roomy as they have to accommodate the SJ Aph body...but they still can work for the Iple ladies pretty well I think. I thought the fit rather...flirty.:XD:

@AntarelNefertili - Thank you! I've been photographing more of my SJ dollies recently...and I do have several SJ outfits I need to dress on to various dolls also. Your two ladies are just so lovely! They have really wonderful wigs too! :thumbup

I did find this shot of an SJ outfit (From the original Naomi release) that works really well even on the small bust HID lady...:whee:

    16. Hello my dear friends, your latest photos are very interesting.
I love the composition of LyanneNZ's penultimate photo.
Thank you for continuing to delight us.

    17. I still stick with mostly stretchy SJ clothes since I have nSID, Supia Doll 65, and Dollshe 26F bodied girls. I find that sometimes the shoulder straps need shortening on my dolls. I often just tie them together in back with a ribbon and that takes up the slack.

    18. Thank you for the link, I’d definitely give it a go when I get the chance. I think it looks great on her very winters look, I especially love the top

    19. QUESTION:
Can I please see a photo of a SID man with a EID woman?

How do they look together? (size wise)

      Thank you!!!
