Iplehouse Discussion (YID, nYID, SID, EID, HID) Part 13

Sep 8, 2021

    1. Well. . . I did it. I ordered him. I am now going to just pretend that I didn't go like 700 dollars over budget in one fell swoop.

    2. Congrats on your order! Dane is a handsome sculpt :)

Just adding a freshly painted SID Kali to the thread...hoping the weather will cooperate as I have a queue of blank heads that have been waiting for summer and time off of work ; )

    3. I have been dreaming of getting some day a Sid girl and I would love to know how is the possibility of the new Sid body. Do they pose well? Do they stand well? I thought that this thread would be the best place to ask. By the is the waiting time for iplehouse?

    4. I have two dolls on the female SID model body, I think they pose fantastical. It can free stand, but I never trust any dolls on any body type to do that for long, something about free standing doll makes my anxiety spike.

This is my trans-boy Velocity, he is on the female SID model body, Velocity is kind of fantasy mini me. So might someday sand his breast off, but that is a future worry for now he is on a fully female body.

    5. So, now that I have this fellow ordered . . . does anyone know anywhere other than Iple that I can get more shoes for the SID size that won't be all clown huge or so tight they won't go on? I remember from long ago when I used to have my Shane. . I couldn't fit much on him. Most of the links on Tricky Feet are either defunct shops or just empty at the moment too.

    6. @LyanneNZ Your Kali looks gorgeous! I love that mold! Yours looks so very different from mine (Iple FU). It´s amazing what a completely different take on the face up can do for that mold :)

    7. @darkangelxix I am very new to the new SID body but so far I really like it. It seems to pose very well. I do feel the feet look a bit large on the shorter body and wish they would make smaller feet for her and am now curious as to whether anyone else's feet could possibly fit because if she had SD16 sized feet she would have so many more shoe options...but overall I really am very happy with the SID body.

Thanks @Ashemanu I always love seeing how others paint faces too - there are so many possibilities for each sculpt.

I finished painting SID Wendy too yesterday and have just taken photos of her...she makes me think of a younger sister for Elle but I haven't painted mine to give her any likeness to my HID Elle.

    8. @LyanneNZ @Tippetarius
Thank you very much for the info. Both of your dolls are gorgeous! The problem with Iplehouse dolls is that they are all gorgeous!! I am afraid that once you start collecting them you will not be able to stop! The only frightening thing though is the shipping cost to Greece. 250$ starting point for one doll! Surprisingly for 2 dolls it only increases by 30$!

I am drooling over Vanessa and Rachel! I think that they are both very beautiful and young looking, but not overly young looking like Lilly for example. They seem like late 20s to me. I also think that they will make excellent sisters with matching face-ups! What do you think guys?

    9. @darkangelxix Thank you, Velocity my trans-male Vera is a bit of a pretty boy. X3
Also you are 100% right Iplehouse dolls are all too pretty/handsome/gorgeous for the good of our wallets. I fell in love with Iplehouse dolls early in my joining the hobby and got my first YID 13 years ago, a gentle Soori on the first version of the YID body. A few EIDs soon followed and many more of my own dolls after have been from Iplehouse. My S.O. is also in the hobby and has a few dolls her first doll was an EID Luna I got her for X-mas back in the day.

Shipping to the USA isn't as bad, but it's still pretty costly, though getting two dolls at once also only adds a bit clearly more of us need to do group orders to lower shipping costs ever so slightly. XD

Oh and for the shake of sharing older well loved dolls here is my modded Soori William, with his lovely wife Red, my S.O.'s Luna.

Edited to add a P.S. for @TatterPunk Vs double posting. So fun shoe size trick for the SID Model boys they can use the female model feet. I have a Chris head on an SID male model with female SID model feet so he can wear nYID boy boots. Bare foot his feet look a little small, but in shoes/boots they look perfectly normal. All nYID, SID, and EID girls have the same shoe size and can also wear the male nYID shoes too. Out of character style needs my SID version of my character Kyle needed YID boots to match his grey skinned YID counter part so for science I got the girl feet and they work.

    11. Hi everyone. I searched but didn't find anything. Does anyone know what the difference between Renew Yur and the old Yur?

    12. Yes, at least I can share the version of the info I was given. Physically they are almost the same, but there are slight mold/casting differences. So long ago in the early days of EID sized dolls, they made Luna and her sister mold Yur. Later out of a need from the molds breaking down they retired Yur, and let the mold finally fully break down and die. However people loved the Yur mold, so from popular demand they made the "Renewed Yur" Which is as close to her ordinal version as it can be, but there are ever so slight differences as the first casting mold is long gone now. Like wise Luna's mold which was kept around longer also was retired for a long time, until they made her FID version. So again very slight differences between them, based on the fact the original molds are long gone now.

    13. I would be very grateful for some help, if possible! I recently ordered Lawrence and would like to buy eyes for him before his arrival. Based on the info I can find, I'm guessing somewhere in the range of 10-12 mm diameter and 4-5 mm iris, but I am hopelessly picky so if anyone is willing to share photos and indicate what eye size you used, that would be really lovely!

And to contribute to the thread, here is Corinna (EID Lahela), who is patiently waiting for her dear husband (Lawrence) to come home to us <3

    14. @Gamine I read that iplehouse Sid dolls are wearing 12mm eyes on the photos. I don’t know if this helps at all.

    15. Your Lahela is gorgeous! I don't have much help to offer as I don't have large Lawrence but I'm sure someone will have a better idea. Hope he arrives soon!

Since I popped in here is Elle... :D

    16. Hi,

I own several Lawrences. They wear 12mm. Both of these are wearing the eyes that they came with from Iplehouse. I like their color. I know they are acrylic 12mm round. Another Lawrence that I have, wears Enchanted eyes in 12mm. I believe the irises are the normal kind that comes in that size eyes. Some people may like the 10mm but I don't like gapping. I haven't tried the 10mm on them so I cant' verify that for sure. I personally like the 12mm on them but you may not.

      @darkangelxix

Lawrence is not a SID doll, but a EID. But yes. Some SIDs do take 12mm or 10mm depending on the Sculpt and the shape of the eyes. Lately Iple has been making dolls with more narrow type eyes.

      @LyanneNZ
and there's one of my favorite red heads. Gorgeous.

    17. Mine in the pic below was using 12mm small iris (14mm small iris works very well too)
Speaking of SID girl, my Wendy uses 12mm small iris, too and I guess I've tried her with 10mm small iris and she looks fierce lol

@LyanneNZ one of my favourite Elle! love her with that red diva lips, gorgeous! so your Kali and Wendy, too :drool

@Bren Admire your Lawrences! the point that I love the most of Lawrence is his potential could be stunning on both young and mature side. :chibi Are they in light brown? Stunning men, mine is in real skin.

@Gamine love her lips very much, that brought her look so unique! :blush

    18. Yes, I have found that SID Wendy does use 12mm but 5mm in iris. She needs the smaller size iris and too small eyes do give her that type of look. Glass eyes work very well on her.

Thank you. I like yours alot. Very scholarly and Handsome to boot. Two great qualities.:3nodding:

I love my Big trio of Lawrences. He's one of my favorite. All three big ones are lt brown and from the CH series tho they have tweakes which makes them look a little different as well a hairstyles. I do have a FID in RS. I do like him too.
Here's my third big one. He is the one that has the Enchanted eyes in 12mm.

    19. @LyanneNZ All of your Iplehouse ladies are so beautiful, you do such lovely work on them!! It will be very difficult for me to stop with only one in my collection but I'm going to do my best :XD: Thank you for your kind words about my Lahela, painting her sculpt was a joy.

@Bren Thank you so much, that information is very helpful! Gapping bothers me as well. And multiple Lawrences... how dreamy!

@Khlovera Thank you for your help with eye sizing! Your Lawrence is gorgeous <3 I'm happy that you like how I painted my Lahela, I really enjoy how she turned out.
