1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. @manabusama - for you!
Using the spoiler cuz I got lots of pictures, and cuz doll nudity:
Left: Iplehouse nSID Mari, peach gold resin. Right: Dollmore Model F Mary Pierce (hey @SKYWHYS - recognize somebody?):

    2. Oop - one more. Same body, Eva Louise head, next to Iplehouse Aaliyah on HID body in Special Real resin.

So - the Model F heads are head-cap style. The Zaoll heads are face-plate style. Dollmore, you confound me...

    3. Dollmore uses several sculptors. Sometimes they identify who the C sculptor was. Sometimes they don't.

Zaoll and Elysia were scupted by Gu Mi-Jung. The Trinity body was sculpted by St. Cura who also sculpts some of the Trinity heads.

    4. I love that long slim body. When I see it I think of an alien/ Human hybrid, alien humanoid or something. My Iplehouse crew been moving towards a mixed species, sci-fi style world. Somewhere much farther up on the kardashev scale, like a type 3, galactic civilization. So my plans is to introduce different types of dolls to join my Iplehouse ones. Some will also be anthropomorphic.

As much as it tempts me to order a Model Doll F, I have to wait as I have to first order My HID Falcon, then a Grand Senior Delf Mars for my DOD/ Luts crew. There's also Supia Hamin on the list who will join my Iplehouse crew. There's also a Sleep of Reason Zeev wolf head that needs a body, and will also join my Iplehouse crew. I also got a MDF Persi who I'd like to also join them.

Besides HID Falcon and GSDF Mars, I got no order in which I have to order the girls, so I guess after the boys I can finally start thinking of which Model Doll F I'll end up with :)

I'm just glad I got some time to think it through because it's hard to choose which of the Model Doll F to go for :sweat

    5. forgive me if this isn't the proper place to ask this question, but how do your Iplehouses pose? My JID boy poses.... horribly. He can't even hold his arm up for me, or at a bend. Is this all iplehouses or is mine just showing his age?

      • x 1
    6. @Malvolio I find with my Iplehouse dolls there are a few factors to how they pose and which ones are better. My SID Model body boys and girls at the top of the good poser list, but I still like to make sure their string is the right tension and they have hot glue sueding.

I have a male JID, and I personally think there are some engineering flaws with JIDs but still love mine and can get him to pose pretty well. However he has tight elastic, and hot glue in a few joints like shoulders.
Your own boy might need to be restrung age can effect the elastics, also the smallest bit of hot glue suede in the joints can go a long way.

    7. I agree with @Tippetarius about the string/cord tension being *very* important.
I’ve no problems with the posing of my SID/nSID/EID/HID dolls - but - I have
adjusted their cord tension over the years. The oldest dolls have been restrung
with thicker elastic cord too. Basic doll maintenance - those elastic cords do not
retain their stretch forever. I’ve not done any glue sueding with my Iple dolls but
agree that could be helpful too. Dollstown, VolksUSA and Dollmore all offer elastic
      stringing cord in various sizes.

In the early years, Iplehouse would quite loosely string their dolls so that there
would not be breakage in shipping - expecting that the new owners would be
able to adjust the cord tension later. There were a number of companies who
strung very tightly and had joint damage (chip/crack/breaks) cases in shipping.

Perhaps posting in the mini section would get more replies for JID problems -
I’m sure there is an Iplehouse JID thread. There are also the customizing
threads - lots of great info in there as well. I know nothing about JID boys…

    8. Long time no post! Was on a hobby break owing to various reasons, not the least due to a recent work trip to Thailand. Still, it was nice when I discovered that the bracelets I got as souvenirs could work as necklaces for big Iple ladies.

    9. It could work out that way! I think of mine as having a Bayonetta body

I don't think I have much to add that hasn't already been said, but I can echo the elastic tension aspect. My first JID Tania has some loosey-goosey elastic and isn't good at arm posing while the newer (to me, at least) Tania I got last week has tighter elastic in the arms and is noticeably better at posing as a result. These are dolls that are about the same age, but I bet the newer (to me) one got restrung at some point. I've been meaning to restring my first one for years, but I never did it :XD:

Welcome back! I always love seeing your photos on Flickr. This bracelet looks incredible as a necklace! I like it a lot!

    11. Great to see you back @AntarelNefertili with your dolls looking so gorgeous as always - the bracelets as necklaces are perfect! :)

    12. Oh, this is genius!! I may have to make a run to the local discount jewelry place! It won't be as beautiful as your gorgeous Thai bracelets, but what a great idea!
How was Thailand? Beautiful country and people - and the most amazing food! I want to visit some day too.

    13. Just in case it's useful information for anyone, anklets sometimes have perfect sized charms for BJD necklaces too. :whee: I like to search for those specifically because the ones on bracelets tend to be larger or less delicate.

    14. Thank you everyone, and hopefully I'll be able to be more active in the hobby again. My IH Mari is actually modeling the prettiest bracelet-necklace of the bunch, but she needs to get her photo taken.

@Sianserais Great tip! I don't often find anklets for sale, but if they tend to be more delicate-looking than bracelets, I'm sure a lot of dolls would love them.

And @MaleficentMrsofEvil it was a work trip, so wasn't exactly able to do much sightseeing of historical sights. Food's awesome though!

    19. :doh I can't believe I forgot Luna!

Luna is on a Luts Type... 5 (??) body. Yes. I think it's Type 5. It's white and needs a little gray to match. But otherwise - I have Luna, too!
      No cats this time, sorry.
Psst - @SKYWHYS - doesn't she look great on that Luts body?
Also thank you to @earth.spirits for EID Aaliyah.
