1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Iplehouse Discussion (YID, nYID, SID, EID, HID) Part 13

Sep 8, 2021

    1. Heh heh, enabler!
Actually, if I was going to get more twins - I want Mari in every color Iplehouse offers. I just love that sculpt, and I think it's so versatile. A different face-up can make her look like a completely different doll.

    2. Mari is still on my wishlist can you believe?! I'd love an nSID version of her. I love how different she can be and she's always photogenic.

    3. Did someone say Mari? ;)

She's wearing another of the Thailand bracelets repurposed into doll necklace (of course that elephant charm seems a wee oversized, but I kept it as is).

With regards to having multiple iterations of the same sculpt, I actually have two Scarlet heads for Adhara's several forms. :P They're just sharing the same HID bod though, so not sure if it counts!

    5. Yesssssss. I want at least 2 more - one in that resin color, and one in special real. Even just in a different resin color, she looks like a completely different sculpt. I think Mari is very versatile that way.
      Gorgeous girl!

    6. Mari is gorgeous and the bracelet is awesome.

    8. Whoo! Mari appreciation day! @luluna - YES. I love her. So gorgeous.

Mari is the doll I "spoil." She gets the most expensive outfits, wigs, and eyes. She's the first doll that convinced me to spring for an expensive outfit - this Soul Doll limited mermaid outfit. Bless BJDivas for letting me order it (they did a split on my behalf).

    10. It's done, I ordered my HID Falcon in Ebony Skin :whee: :dance

And my SID Omar (Andrei) fiance of Falcon (Manu), are currently sent for a makeover to become the ginger guy he's always been meant to be <3

    11. Ooh that's exciting! I hope they both get back to you fast!

    12. Congrats, @manabusama ! I know you've been wanting him for a while!
Now, the hardest part - the wait. :shudder Iplehouse told me that my Doria is complete and just waiting for her face-ups (I got the human and vampire heads). Not me checking Iplehouse's website twice daily...

    13. Can't wait, feels like Christmas just having finally gotten it done :)

Yeah, I have been wanting him a while. I had a whole year, maybe and a half where I had completely lost my access to Iplehouse's site, I know I said that before though. And before that I wanted an EID Taregan but did not have the possiblity to order him at the time.

But I'm very happy with a Falcon, and I wouldn't trade him for a Taregan if that sculpt made a comeback. I actually were too late to order him in the Ebony Skin, but Iplehouse were kind and let me do a order in that skin tone. So I did the order today.

Congrats to you too, hopefully it won't be too long before you get your order :)

    14. @manabusama Congrats on your order! Falcon was one of the sculpts I've always admired from afar. Do post a lot of pictures when he gets home!

I actually took this photo some time ago, but here's Adhara, my HID Scarlet, wearing a jinbaori I sewed for her. I'm still in the process of "reassigning" who gets to wear what piece of clothing among the girl dolls. But what I do know is that Adhara's not going to be wearing long gowns any time soon. Got to make the most of those toned HID legs!

    15. Thanks, I will :) Adhara look great in that outfit. Do you have a special kind of theme your dolls tend to stick to. I've never heard of a Jinbaori before.

    16. Ahhhh she's gorgeous!! :D Beautiful sewing work too.

    17. Thanks @Quiet and Insane! I really should practice more on the sewing machine because precision work still buggers me.

And @manabusama a jinbaori is like a surcoat worn over samurai armor, but Adhara wears it even if she's not geared like a paladin. I style my dolls in a fusion of modern and traditional wear (which, depending on the character's origin, can range from East/Southeast Asian or even Mesoamerican influences). :XD:

By extension, I really appreciate that Iplehouse has many sculpt choices to choose from, if you don't want to be stuck in one style for your crew!

    18. You have a very cool style, very colorful and noticeable :) Their many sculpt styles is why I too love them, and it really helps that they also got a pretty decent selection of skin tones.

When it comes to my Iple crew I'm not quite sure how I want to style them, but in my mind at least they live in a place where there are a lot of skaters and surfers. And they themselves are, I guess you could say modern hippies and spiritual people. My Andrei and his little sister Ginger need som flower crowns, and maybe some crystals. My future Dollmore Keeley Sum are a skater girl. Sporty kind of tomboy. I'm not sure where I can get an SD sized skateboard though.

    19. Can anybody link me to doll stands that works well for EID and HID men and women?

      • x 1
    20. That's going to depend upon what kind of stand you're looking for.
IMHO, the gold standard for waist-huggers is Kaiser. And as a bonus, if you hit your local thrift stores, you may find dolls on Kaiser stands for sale for less than the cost of the stand (yes, I've purchased before and then re-donated the doll...).

Dollmore has saddle stands for sale individually and in groups of 10, which is more economical shipping wise - especially if you don't need 10 and want to split (Hi!). Also, I've learned that if Dollmore abby thinks a product is crap, she has absolutely no problem telling you, lol...
