1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Iplehouse Discussion (YID, nYID, SID, EID, HID) Part 13

If anybody are wondering, he's got a Tardigrade fidget toy in his bag XD

Ok, thanks :)My YID Lucian (Skyler) have a Dollmore sadle stand though, but the part that are suppose to support in between the legs are to narrow to get it all the way up, but he stands. So my worry With the Dollmore stands were that if he have problems with it, then I have no idea how it will fit a large HID :sweat Or maybe I just need to force spread the sadle part more, if that's possible.

You don't suppose it's possible to have a smaller sized stand like the waist hugger ones, and just have it support one of the dolls thighs? I've never tried that before, and currently I got no smaller stand available to test it on any larger SD.

    2. I second the Kaiser stands. I got them on Amazon. I only needed them for 3 dolls luckily since most of my crew sit on shelves. They were expensive though, I think $40. But they are solid enough to carry the dolls on them.

    3. Ok, I'll check them out :)

    4. If you click into the descriptions of the saddle stands, I think that's what you're supposed to do - the metal should "flex" to make room for your doll.
With Kaiser stands, I actually don't recommend Amazon - I've found them cheaper in bulk on feeBay.

    5. I agree with @MaleficentMrsofEvil about the excellence of the Kaiser waist stands for
the bigger dudes. All of my Iplehouse SID and EID men use the Kaiser 4001 stands.
No idea what the shipping or availability would be in Norway tho, sorry.

for the gals I normally use this kind of saddle stand - and the saddle part does bend
open fairly easily to conform to various ‘bottoms’

as for the Dollmore saddle stands - I have my DTelf gal on one - and the metal saddle
wires are pretty stiff compared with the other kind of saddle stand that I mostly use.
I should think that the metal could be bent however. good luck @manabusama

    6. I did that with the saddle part of the Dollmore stand, I managed to get it all the way up but it is holding on very tight around the crotch area. Almost too much :sweat But he stands firm and safely now at least. I will try out the kaiser stands once I can do any orders.

I wish IH too would make their own doll stands for all their sizes, that would have helped a lot. But I'll try out the suggestions I've gotten here. My Falcon is too awesome to sit down, I need him standing up so I can see him properly and all of his outfit :blush

    7. Thanks to everyone posting info about stands, it's very helpful! I'm planning on rearranging my doll cabinet to where I can have them standing up with stands -- so I can fit more! :whee: Right now they're all seated with their legs sticking out, so they take up a lot of space and I can only fit like 5 larger dolls on a shelf that way.

I also wanted to share my Yur. She's returned recently from an artist with a new faceup (and a repair from where I bonked her forehead on the bottom of a shelf in said doll cabinet). She's the SE Real Skin version that Iplehouse released in 2010. I also finished sewing a sweater for her earlier this afternoon, so a photo seemed appropriate:

    8. @Quirked - Oh your Yur is adorable! I love her faceup.

    9. She is very cute and I love that these dolls can be refreshed and given a new lease of life and we can continue to love and enjoy them :)

And just because I'm here commenting I will leave a photo I took over the weekend (also a doll I have had a long time now ;)

    10. @luluna, @LyanneNZ: Thank you! She used to have a kinda glam faceup, but I'm really enjoying this softer, freckled look on her. :)

And your Stella is gorgeous, @LyanneNZ!

    11. Weighing in on the Stand thing! I REALLY like the Ringdoll saddle stands for the big dolls. They're nice and sturdy and hold up some pretty heavy dolls nicely. Also they stood up to 25mph wind gusts when I was doing post Tropical Storm beach shoots in September, so I ordered a bunch more. Definitely recommend them.

    12. Seconding the Ringdoll saddle stands for the big boys - they keep mine from becoming dominoes at local meets and they pack down nicely for transport.

    13. If we're talking company stands, I can't speak for their waist-huggers or saddle stands, but I've seen Volks' chair stand in person, and it is PHENOMENAL. Worth every penny. That thing is built like a tank, and it's gorgeous, too.
Granted, you wanted a stand so you could see the doll standing, but just wanted to throw that out there for anyone thinking of buying a chair stand.

    14. My HID Raffine I ordered has changed to shipping! I'm not sure I'm ready for her (it was 8 days 0_0 like the old days), but hopefully I can get things scrabbled together quickly. I'll need to make her a wig once she gets here, and hoping the eyes I have will work for now. I probably need to order more sealer too. At least there are plenty of clothes.

    15. She is here! Sorry to double-post.
      [IMG]Echo2.0 by Tatterpunk, on Flickr

So far I'm working on getting her wig started, so she's headless now until that's done. Hopefully I'll be finished that by Monday or so. The eyes I had work just fine - 14mm fits in the eyewells snugly, but it works.

I'm loving the HID body's aesthetics too! Also I managed to fit the SID Hippie Set on her. It's a little snug in the back of the vest - and short, but it still looks good. In the photo she's wearing SartoriaJ black cargo pants, a SD boy size shirt from Black Carousel, and Uncle size boots (they're big, but I like the look). The eye is Ashuradark 14/4mm size, and the other eye is one I made.

    16. Congratulations @TatterPunk! Having an HID woman myself (who is my current favorite of the girls), it's great to see more owner pictures of these big gals. Can't wait to see how your Raffine will look when she's all complete!

    17. Pardon the double-post, but just sharing the "stiff holiday photo" of my HID Scarlet and her male partner, Granado Noah (plus her flying goldfish familiar). :D

    18. We have a couple of sunny/not humid days so have been able to paint two dolls so far. Here is HID Bella. I really need smaller iris eyes so am trying to make some right now and will take more pics if they turn out ok :)

    20. You will love them :) They have such nice sculpting. I bought her when they had the extra head event which is great but I am not good with extra heads as I end up wanting their own body...so we shall see haha
