1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Iplehouse Discussion (YID, nYID, SID, EID, HID) Part 13

Sep 8, 2021

    1. Hey all - something of interest has crossed my path, so here I am looking at Iplehouse again. <3 Does Iplehouse have a site newsletter/email subscription, or set periods where they open orders? I'm hoping to order a nYID boy in tan (I believe) resin.

    2. @Nissa I do not know if they have a newsletter or any email subs, but they do seasonal events and the like. Also you can order most of their "basic" dolls any time. Only some of their molds and resin colors are limited to events like their darker tans and browns. Their "Special Real Skin" color can be very tan depending on resin batch.
Right now I believe they have four nYID boys you can pick from at any time.

    3. Thanks so much @susieagent99 !! Rebecca is such a wonderful sculpt - what a shame
that Iplehouse dropped her… That glow-realskin resin is pretty gorgeous too! My Luo
is old enough that he was the original glow realskin!

Thanks lots @Quiet and Insane !! It was a terrible shame that they never did the prequel
movie that had been considered for Master and Commander. Probably wasn’t really
a kid appropriate movie! But amazing that they had young kids working on the ships
at that time. The books were equally amazing.

    4. @Robyn_in_WA I have to second the above, in scrolling the thread I recognized Aubrey straightaway; you've done a wonderful job with him. I enjoyed that movie a great deal, so much so that I started reading the books (albeit a bit more slow-going there, but very very enjoyable). My gf and I moved several times and are hoping we won't need to for several years now. My books are still in boxes, as well as quite a few aspects of my hobby, but we're hoping to get into everything this month and finish making our place all homey.

I should be able to resume those books then!

    5. The wait is killing me and it has been barely a little over a month since I order my SID Claude and I’m dying because he is not home LOL

I got use to how fast vinyl dolls are deliver. I need to get use to the waiting time for a brand new resin doll again. I’m so happy for this thread because seeing such awesome style bjds is making me so happy and keeping me calm.

    6. Howdy! As an Iplehouse window-shopping fanatic, let me help you spend money!
You can order an nYID boy in any of Iplehouse's 8 resin colors via Doll Choice when Doll Choice is open - which seems to be all month now? It used to be Doll Choice was only open the first 15 days of the month.
Now, if you want to order one on sale, Iplehouse has (in the past) offered sales events during the month of July, and from Black Friday (the Friday after U.S. Thanksgiving) until January 1st. They offered 5-10 percent off doll choice orders, as well as discounts on basic dolls.
When you mean tan, are you referring to Special Real resin? That's generally available with all basic dolls (for a fee, of course).
If, however, you're looking for light or dark brown, those resin colors are generally only available through doll choice.

And @Robyn_in_WA is not only a talented seamstress, but a very patient (long-suffering?) one, as I pepper her constantly with my fascinating sewing questions such as, "what is this called?" (answer: a hem)

    7. @MaleficentMrsofEvil Oh thank you, this is perfect! I ended up signing in and stumbling across Doll Choice last night (I'm new to IH in general), but it does look like I'll need Light Brown for the resin tone. I'm hoping to nab an artist's head sculpt that fits (and looks lovely/matches well) with this tone, though I may have to go seeking around/ask Iplehouse what their most recent light brown resin looks like. It seems to have varied across doll releases (just in browsing past Limited dolls).

If I'm able to purchase the head sculpt, I'll keep an eye out for that potential July sale! <3 If it doesn't turn up, I might see about a long layaway with Divas to acquire the nYid boy body.

Thank you so much - bookmarking your reply for referencing! <3

    8. Wait uh I didn't think Divas was a dealer for iplehouse, but you can sell off the head since iplehouse does full dolls only to help reimburse you.

    9. Divas has in the past offered to proxy for a fee.

    10. @Haven_Of_Dolls336 You're right, sorry I left that bit out - I meant I'd order through them / not mind the non-dealer association and surcharge fee (the long layaway terms make it worth it for me). <3

    13. @ResinRapture - Is that Aaliyah? I only own two of her - you would think I would recognize the sculpt. But no. I don't.

My oopsies split has finally been fixed, and Mari has a body - nSID in Iplehouse's normal resin. Probably not permanent, though (I'm waiting on Impldoll's new 62 cm 1/3 body in peach gold resin). But she can be a little goth in the interim:

    14. I hope it's ok if I participate here. I just came into an Iplehouse SID Isabel more or less unexpectedly :) She arrived just this morning and I was so excited I plopped a wig on her and had to take a picture.

Her hip joint/thigh is extremely floppy though, which I assume is because the stringing is too loose. She'll be my first attempt at restringing when I find time... Wish me luck! I'm scared of taking apart this expensive doll. Anything I should know beforehand?

    15. Don’t be afraid of enlisting your feet! Haha!

    16. Wholeheartedly seconding this! Somewhere on carpet or a rug preferably, and don't be shy to use your feet for extra leverage! Also a buddy if you've got one, but it can be done solo (it's just a bit slower). <3

    17. @Peki22 Maybe tightening the strings and redoing the knot will do. I found it helped with most of mine, I never needed to restring them completely.

    18. Thank you everyone! I‘ll try tightening the knot first. If that doesn‘t do it I‘ll be sure to use all limbs to attempt it
