@luluna Seriously going weak in the knees here... what a sultry beauty! (You do not happen to have a full frontal portrait of her on hand, would you? Sorry, I do not want to be obnoxious...)

@EmeraldPixie ...right? What I do not fully comprehend is... if you take the limiteds out of Doll Choice, what perks are left to purchase from there at all? The men cannot switch bodies much anyway I believe, so all that will remain are mostly the basic men for a higher price, and the only thing left for the girls will be the option to switch out the body type of the basic dolls. You cannot even choose special hands or such like. Is that a wise decision? Who knows...

She is absolutely beautiful! What size eye and iris do you have in her? Do 13 or 14mm sclera fit in her eyes, or are they too big? I only have a Rexy present of the Iple girls and her eyes are HUGE compared to everything so she won't work to gauge anything lol.

@Mandagore It looks (With the way my brain is trying to convince me of things) like I may wind up ordering her at least by next week. Totally not a good idea. . . but. . she's already got character plans going in my head somehow. 0__0.

 

That's exactly what happened to me!^^ I've loved her for so long from afar, but then... character plans. My fate was sealed. 2021 was supposed to be a no-new-doll-year for me... at least she was the only addition of the year^^ (Bodies don't count, right?)
But I'm still very much at the stage of trying things on her, like clothes and wig styles. I find it hard to find a variety of pants that would fit her, for example. But she looks good in 13mm/6mm iris eyes, that I already know. I guess you could even go a size smaller?

I like a good small iris in my dolls, so I was thinking about some 13/4 eyes I saw. I'm too lazy to make my own lol.
No-new-doll-years aren't a thing. They're an illusion that we must rid ourselves of to truly reach happiness. Buy all the dolls. ALL OF THEM.

What iris size or who are the eyes you have in her by?

 

Oh...I was afraid you might ask. I put these in as the first pair I was trying in her (took some photos) and I didn't expect to keep them in...but they grew on me and I ended keeping them in. And in doing so I didn't record what they were (in a place where I do such things). They are glass and dark blue...and I do not believe they have a small iris so I would guess they are 6mm? I think they were a pair I got off ebay?

 

Drat. I may have to make eyes myself when I get her since the eyemaker I usually go with doesn't have a purple the color I want at least not yet. Though, if 14's will fit in her eyewells I do have a 14ish/4.5ish pair of purples I can use for temporary. Hmmm. I don't know if 4 will be too small or 5 will be too big for my liking lol.

 

Well, yes, b-but... one needs money for that, right? And space. Space is a thing, too, I believe *lives under a mountain of dolls - figuratively speaking, of course^^*
13/4mm sounds awesome for Zera, probably fits way better than 6mm. But I think the 13mm eye size is good to avoid gapping, at least it was for me. Btw, her head size these days is 20,5cm, not 21cm as given by Iple. I had good luck with trying on 7/8" wigs.

 

@luluna Love your Zera and she looks absolutely stunning with that wig.

Most of my iple dolls use 12-14mm small iris, some of them require a smaller one (eg: Wendy) so did my Sartoriaj's dolls, good thing to have when they could share same size of eyes (still there's over 20 pairs of resin eyes in my eye box...from a doll collector to a doll eyes collector lol)

My babe Enzo (Chris) took a long trip over 4 months (only shipping took 4 months) and finally home since a few days, I'm ecstatic I love how this sculpt has so many potentials, saw many handsome boy Chris and also some beautiful & elegant lady Chris, shall we start a little Chris spam everyone?

Omg I did it. My hand just sliiiipped and I paid for her (never mind that I had to type a bunch of passwords and click a lot of things for it to actually happen). I got her in NS, nSID body, Small Bust. I didn't get any clothes this time, since she's a girl and I'll be making clothes for her in no time. IF she winds up as the character I'm suspicious she'll wind up as (there were two choices, pretty sure that one's gonna win), she'll need a really epic red leather jacket with a bunch of silver spikes on it. I have a pattern I got. . . just gotta make myself sew things. >__<.

Thanks for the information! I'm HOPING I can get some good purple eyes (like retouched photo Elizabeth Taylor purple) for her in the right size. If Soul In a Box works once she gets here, I might have to get her some of those.

Enzo is VERY handsome. I mean all your dolls are gorgeous. . soo there's that lol.

I went and read iple’s notice on DC dolls and it’s a bit of a head scratcher that limited dolls “weren’t supposed to be in dc” but they have been for years??? But I suspect “ We will also open with the same period at Doll Choice during the period of limited doll selling for your orders.” Means making limiters available by dc when they’re rereleased, which isn’t great, but is less bad than them not being available at all?

Regarding the notice of DC, I didn’t get that 100% but seems like Iplehouse will be opening limited dolls more frequently? Instead of twice a year (usually summer and Christmas event) and they will (not sure if I understand that correctly) be opening limited sculpts via DC with more choice of bodies??? Need some advanced clarification from Iplehouse I guess

 

That's what I read it as. Though I'm not sure about them having the limited open more often or not, I mostly just got that they're opening them when they open them?. . . I'm just hoping that I can get a big Raffine sometime. . . not sooon though, cause I spent all my money lol.

 

The most confusing part for me is that it seems that the HID line is a limited line of dolls, but the HID line is in doll choice, and the HID Men's section still has HID Men heads.

Wow, so many changes. I'm incredibly glad I was able to get my Leonard when I did.
