Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.       I've enjoyed photos of your gorgeous dolls, and I'd guess that lyn_r did quite a few of them. I really love her work, and your style. Thank you for showing your resin children.

    2. Thank you so much Oriscany! :) I do now have several dolls now done by Lyn Raftis who does wonderful work! I think Bane was my first guy I have worked on by her and she was able to transform him to what my character needed. I'm so happy with him.

      I also am fortunate enough to have acquired a few dolls by SDink and I adore them all so much. And I have a couple by Cristy Stone (all of which I've acquired second hand.) And I have several with company faceups. I've even had some success doing my own faceups (though I'm still learning!)

      And one thing they all have in common...I do enjoy photographing them. Thank you ever so much for your kind words, I really appreciate them.

    3. Mmmm. I might want a pair of those new SID boy hands ... my boy is the old RS though, not sure how happy I'll be. Then again, there's always corrective blushing ... sorely tempted! But as my girl hands order will have to wait until next month anyway I guess I have plenty of time to make up my mind.

    12. Yeah... I wanted to get some more colorful stuff for Lydia and noticed that everything is black, red, and white... with a tiny bit of pink (and an even tinier bit of blue and orange) and not much casual clothing :/

    14. I am :D But I just need to find some time to work on a photoshoot for it while I'm studying for finals.... I'm wondering if they are going to announce a break down like they did for previous ones... like the first month, then they choose favs from that month, then the 2nd, etc... and then at the end they picked from whoever they liked from each month or something. Or... they could just be giving us the whole time for photos and then picking at the end... I'm not sure which I like better. lol. The second one would probably give me more time to get something together anyway.

    15. it sounds interesting :) It seems to be Carved Heritage-exclusive so I'll probably sit this one out since I didn't get any of them even when they were rereleased!!! (Pftt my fault >_> I seriously regret it now). 1st prize is an EID!!! But they didn't say what EID it was exactly though (could be random?).

    16. That is interesting - I suggested that we do our own photostories to fill in the gaps in the stories some time ago - but doing the Lawrence discovers Edan is his brother in one photo is going to be really hard, as are the other threads. Will be interesting to see how people do it

    17. Hi everyone, I'm new here and I have a question. I'm planning on ordering an SID (my first BJD ever) through DC in May. I understand most of the process, but the custom make up instructions are confusing me and the QA is not helping.

      Is custom make up just making a minor change to an offered make up style or can I order a fully unique look? I'm not sure I actually want to do the latter, especially with my first Lovely, but I'd like to have a better understanding of my options.

      Edit: Never mind, I figured it out. My tablet was cutting parts of the answers off. So, for future reference, can I write out a description of the custom make up I want instead of posting a picture? I'm more of an author than an artist. Lol.

    18. Hi there, three of my boys have custom Iple faceups. They have two options, simple and special. You can leave a description of what you want, I usually leave a photo or two as well. Two of my boys have simple changes, one is his basic faceup without moles or a beard and the other has freckles added and brow color changed. My other boy has a whole custom face that's unique to him. I described what I wanted and did a mock-up in photoshop.

    19. You can just take pics from google and send those to iple also to go along with your info... like if you want a beard or eye shadow, certain brows, etc.

    20. That makes sense. Thank you for explaining.

      Could I use any photo from Google or are certain ones not allowed? For example, I'm assuming I can't submit a photo of the Duchess of Cambridge and request a doll in her likeness. Not that I would, I'm just clarfying.

      That's it for my questions. I'm going to check out photo spams.
