It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Iplehouse EID and SID Discussion Part 16

Jan 22, 2015

1. HI! Thanks for such a warm welcome back to the thread guys. :)
Oh gods I know the feeling!! Aww, I hope you can get a little time for your little ones soon. It's so hard trying to prioritise isn't it? I try to squeeze in time even if I'm visiting a friend, I'll take a JID or my BID to kill two birds with one stone. I'm always trying to sneak in some doll time. :P

I will try to get some into a spam thread for you, any particular size or doll?

I gave Scott (My BID) a new hair cut and redid his eyebrows, took over 100 pictures and not a single one came out in focus. :/

2. jacobean take some more of Scott--just drag him outside and tell him to hold still this time :D

3. Thanks for the welcome to the thread, jacobean. LOVE the idea of having one of your guys sitting near you to motivate you to exercise, brilliant idea! ;)

I'm loving how curvy IH girls are, and I was captured by the Luna Tamer girl ever since I first saw them way back when...2009? I sometimes still can't believe that I lucked out and found one pre-loved a few months ago! Of course it was the human version I found first, and I had to scour the second hand market and find all the feline parts separately. I can now honestly say that Twyla's a woman of the world!

Right now, Twyla's chillaxing with her OfT-for-this-thread boyfriend's head in her lap. She's still wearing her holiday outfit, maybe I should get some pics even though she doesn't have a faceup nor her tiger-striping yet.

Ryu

4. FISHCAAAAAAKE!!!! lol he's such a wriggly little bugger. :P I'll try to get some more on Sunday if he will hold still, I really like his updated look, I fell in love with him all over again.

Believe it or not it does work! I want abs as hard a resin. :P
I totally agree about the female shape, I love the curves and the thickness of their bodies. I'm very into weighty dolls so Iplehouse dolls are perfect for me. Ooh get some pictures, I'd love to see her!

So guys, the new pictures of Kamau, just kill me now. Seriously, just frickin' kill me. I need to stay away from that place!!! :o *tries not to had him to wish list*

I'm surprised they changed Eva's as I thought the B type was very popular, she's looking very cute though. I also love Soo's new B type. Wow!

5. omg.... okay those new pics of Kamau have done me in... sorry Vincent but you have been bumped off the wishlist and replaced! A real skin Kamau with that faceup is PERFECT for my Juneau (being shelled as RS Lahela)! Plus that face just gives me more inspiration for her story :D Now to decide if he is a vampire or something else... hmmm... (she's from a planet called obsidian that self-destructed due to the influences of war etc. from those who lived there.... just barely escaped on a shuttle and lost her eyesight because she watched as it was happening and the light generated caused her to go blind... her race is vampiric in nature... and dwindling food shortages caused mass rioting etc).

edit: oh and their planet is a swamp planet (or well used to be XD) and is very humid/hot and green/black...(until the wars and destruction... then it became less green foliage wise). they have darker skin tones due to the sun as well.

and I am a little sad they changed her B makeup too... but I like the new one.

6. Thanks, everyone, for your kind words on Max. He's a bit flustered by all this attention, but it's all good! :D

Jacobean, that seems like a fun way to work out! I sometimes use my Leonard as a "weight" granted he's the heaviest I own. I'm trying to justify owning another EID Man by saying I'll have two weights to lift now, LOL.

7. this made me smile cuz a few days ago when my arm was being weak (nerve pinchy issues)... I was thinking when Leo arrived I'd have 2 EID model men! I began having images of 'dolls in sling type seats with handles for me to do 'lifting exercises' with. Why not? they used to tell housewives to use cans of food.... why not us use dolls! lol... A whole new 'resin fitness craze' I can see it now videos and everything.. from beginners with JID's to some of the 'big guys'! :)

8. lol... all this talk about using dolls as weights makes me think that it might be a good idea and to give me some motivation to work out again. I keep complaining about being fat and wanting to lose weight but always get discouraged... but my dollies make me happy so maybe incorporating them into a daily work out would help ^^

9. well new moms work out with babies and the babies are like weights O_o... and just a kicky and unpredictable as dolls flinging arms and legs around lol figure out some kind of 'catch' the falling doll' sprint exercises and you cover cardio?

10. lol. I think I'd be too scared to like stand my doll up to "run and catch him" for exercise... especially with my cat being around O.o... unless I sat him on the ground or something? idk. first things first... I need to organize all my craft crap and make room for me to exercise again.... and I need to make room for my sewing machine still x.x

11. okay a bit of topic change... sort of... a childhood holiday park to visit (since 1960) that was a favorite of mine has gone on the sale block... I never forgot the place.... just where it was lol... but I always imagined taking 'fancy' dolls (now bjds) there. It was called "The Enchanted Forest" This place would be awesome to take dolls for picture :XD: So I thought I'd share a link to the news article... if anyone live in the area or travels through you might want to make a stop next spring/summer ^^.
It's in the BC mountains near Revelstoke. ^^ (Roger Pass on the Trans Canada Highway).

http://globalnews.ca/news/1803451/enchanted-forest-for-sale/

Shall we all chip in and buy it ;)

12. I think I'll start a new workout business, LMAO.

And yes to chipping in on that forest! (I WISH.)

13. haha I love the idea of using dolls as weights! Admittedly may get some looks at the gym, but in the comfort of my tiny living room for yoga I'm queen right? We'll start a dollie health revolution! ;P

Lady Tiku: That place looks amazing! Haha we can run a dollie commune out of it. Peace, love and resin. ;D

14. EIDs are certainly good weight for exercise .

I have question regarding sanding - have any of you tried to sand PG skin tone? I am planning to buy Eva in PG and mod her face a little bit but I do not want to risk discoloration or that the sanded part would be too "visible". If you have sanded PG, could you please show pictures? Thanks is advance.

15. I've actually pulled a muscle in my back picking up my EID  I was having back trouble any way so I can't fully blame him but it certainly didn't help! Thank you, Shane. ;)

16. Hahaha -- the EID Fitness Program, I love it!!

I think I'd be using one of my *ladies* for inspiration, though, hehe!

One thing I loved about the EID body when it came out is that it's the closest doll type to mine (at least, mine when I was healthy, I'm definitely much chubbier now that I've been dealing with a disabling illness for a decade -- but they're like an idealized, long-legged version of my original "broad shoulders/broad hips/big bust/smaller waist" figure. Although they DEFINITELY have way better legs, even at my best!)

People who have been collecting for many years know what a revolution this body was when it came out -- up until that point, many dolls had childlike bodies, and the CP/Luts Delf Mature female body was one of the most "womanly" on the market (and it's curvy, but slender-framed and narrow-shouldered compared to the head size.) EID Jessica came out like a bombshell, literally!!

So, yeah -- note to self, put Lahela in a bikini in an inspirational spot when doing PT exercises!! ;)

-- A :kitty2

17. That's so true, I think Iple were the first company I can remember that started making beefy guys and more realistic body types for both men and women in terms of proportions. A lot of companies were making very slight men or as you say childlike bodies.
When iple made the EID line the moulds started getting more realistic. It seems funny thinking back to the old YID line, they were kind of the Delf or Gem equivalent back in those days.

I hope they don't change the Aria face up B before I have the chance to buy her. I might have to look at an iple custom again if they do. :s

18. I never wanted a girl doll until I stumbled upon Jessica. She was going to be my first purchase, but I decided to wait things out, and ended up with Rebecca for my lady. And then everyone ruined me for everything, and I reshelled all my non-Iple dolls to well, Iple dolls.

I think Aria's selling well, so they probably won't change anything on her for awhile.

...Shane still makes me sad I missed out on Rex. Oh well, perhaps DC when I am wealthier! Or wait for him to go Basic. Vincent is already Basic, but Rex and Rebecca are nowhere to be seen in that nook of the woods. XD

19. It's funny how you can not be interested in a doll but then iple changes the face up and you see it in a whole different light! That's how I was with Jessica. Fingers crossed that Rex will go basic, I'm sure he will eventually.

20. When I came across the Iplehouse dolls it was bye-bye other dolls. Now the others sit around pitifully forlorn and set aside.
When I got Victor I couldn't believe how heavy he is! He is heavier than the other super hero dolls, so I guess the new body has more mass. I have to use both hands to lift him.
I was able to do a face on Bane and I put him on a super hero body and it is way better for his face. I think it's the neck size or because it's shorter than the model body. I would
appreciate an opinion. I'm still a bit mixed on him.
