Iplehouse EID model man Chase the Magician

Nan, have a look at the standard Lunas on the site. To me, she looks very stylised. But it might just be the faceups and choice of large eyes (my Akando wears 12mms). I would be interested to see this chap with a custom faceup and small eyes, but he doesn't have what I am looking for for the character I was hoping to resincarnate in a Model body. I can wait.

 

Eh, don't like the face. T_T Oh well, my wallet is safe for a while more.

But hey, he does look like an elf! Suits him.

P.S. I agree that Luna and Chase look more stylised than all the other EID crew. Not a bad thing necessarily, but not my cup of tea.

 

He looks like he could be rose grey.

 

I agree, though. He does look a bit stylized, but I think it works for me well enough.

I think I like him because, while I've always liked gentle Akando, I always figured I'd have to do some modding of his eyes for him to really work for me. This head is similar, but wouldn't involve the eye gouging.

 

How long does it usually take from first preview picture to the actual release of Iplehouse's LEs? I'm wondering because at the moment they have their YID Realskin sale - would the Magician be released after them or independently of the YID specials?

The more I look at the picture, the more I fall for him... And I already think about to forget my Arabian Prince plans with Realskin and just get him in this rosegrey skin for an other character. I love his face so much!!! And his body of course

 

Dunnow, Mau... I think they are 'realistic' enough, and part of the same 'family'; they re simply differet, Luna is younger and cuter (and I know some real girls with eyes proportionally larger than hers! XD). On my side, I also happen to prefer larger eyes over smaller ones (I put all my dolls on a size or two more than their defaults, if they happen not to be 16). I think this guy has an amazing elven face... bah, I am sooo doomed -_-U. I am in love ;_;!

 

Nan, I don't mean to say that they are stylised to the same extent as CP dolls, for example. Just that they are more stylised than some of the others. I didn't think that about Luna until I saw the photos of the standard edition. I am really not sure about the faceup they have given her there. She somehow looks like a cartoon transvestite.

Buuut, yes, both have the Noctarcana family resemblance and both are beautiful sculpts. All I am saying is that I need a very realistic face for my Model boy and the magician probably isn't it. But the ring leader might well be, so I am not disappointed.

I like the face, but circumstance of Neck of EID mem makes me scary.
If I get one, I will be doomed. >.<

But I love him... I like all of EID faces, but he will be my favorite.

 

I like the eye shape, and LOVE the straight nose. But for some reason, the mouth that so entranced me in the body teaser photos... just isn't doing it for me here.
And wow, if that were a dark brown, I'd probably nab one, but it looks more dark gray to me.
Hmm... I'll probably wait for the Normal skin release. Time to get money saved up, too!

 

I'm guessing he will be up for sale no later than Monday/Tuesday....maybe sooner....probably available to order for about 3 weeks like Luna and some other NC limiteds.

UGH.... now the torturous wait for the rest of the pics.... i'm not crazy about the head sculpt.... and i don't want him in grey skin, or RS, but.... i do want a new EID guy, especially if he has the new model body.... i also want to see what goodies the magician comes with.... i have a felling, i will very much want the costume....

i wonder if with this model body you can put on akando/luo/evan head too, or not?

Sorry, fangirl squeefest over here. Because WOW. I'm not sure this one's going on my wish list, as I'm super picky with my character dolls, but I'm always so psyched whenever Iplehouse rolls out a new doll. Can't WAIT to see more of him!

ETA: Wow.... the more I look at him.... such a unique face! I love the way they've combined realism with fantasy in his features, and I really hope that's their signature dark chocolate skintone I see behind the first doll! They need to make more darker dolls, I've never seen a company do it better than Iplehouse.

Tosh-if the body is tall enough, I don't think proportion would be too much of a problem. I guess the neck hole would be the only thing you'd need to wrestle with.

I must have this doll, just for his body, so it doesn't matter what his face sculpt looks like to me.

I need him in cream white though, so the waiting game begins.

 

Welp, I love the new body, but this head doesn't do anything for me. Which is a good thing for my wallet...but I really want to see Akando or Luo on the Model body, it will be really interesting to see the proportions.

 

Last few days of order period and 1/3 down on layaway works....have done it a few times myself....LOL.

All of the previous EID male heads will fit on the new model body....just have to get the right resin color match.

*nods in agreeance* His face seems too long and narrow to me. Though the dark tan is intriguing so perhaps its all in the angle for which he's viewed.
