1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Iplehouse EID Model type - teaser posted

Oct 12, 2009

    1. Actually, they didn't used to. But if you go beyond 3 months, looks like they will:

    2. Well, that looks pretty reasonable. If you can't keep up your end of the deal you get penalty and if you don't follow-through they keep the penalty payment (like the re-stocking fee) and refund the rest. At least they don't cancel your order if something comes up and you can't make a payment one month, and 5% isn't too bad. They probably got tired of people jerking them around and e-mailing to prettypleaseplease understand they can't make a payment because their dog is in need of urgent care... on the same day as Soom unveils their new MD.

      Sadomina, "realskin" refers to the mixture of urethane and french resins; all of their Noctarcana circus members have been "realskin", from Kamau to Ryan, so it's a pretty broad range of colours... and even if the colour matched Volks, the two resins have a totally different way of interacting with light so you can clearly see they're different. (Urethane is opaque, while realskin retains some of french resin's translucence and sort of... "glows" more)

      But as far as I know, the UV treatment seemed to have worked. In the Noctarcana Circus thread, tests showed that a UV-protected Jessica only greened slightly after four days of full sun exposure.

    3. @Lelite: oh thanks a lot for your explanation! I haven't thought and researched for IH realskin before, because I never thought about getting one of the limiteds... but for the new EID I'm almost sure I'd buy the limited which I'm sure he will be released in realskin first.
      Ohhhh I can't wait to see his face :D

    4. :lol:Seriously??!! I was looking up the Idealian yesterday and personally it didn't look as good as the new EID body (plus it was too tall for my taste). But the closed mouthed face was really nice.

      "we are pressed for time to release it with shortage of goods"...I'm trying to think of what this really means or what really got in their way but I won't press on it here. Hopefully Iplehouse's new EID body will come out without any time or shortage problems:).

    5. Lelite -- Yeah, I've seen Noctarcana Circus Ryan go sold out then back in stock, then no stock, then back in stock again so many times (probably 6 times since I started counting, actually!). I always figured it had something to do with people putting him on layaway, then canceling, REPEATEDLY. Not that I'm saying it was by the same person, but Iplehouse's layaway rules had been pretty lax. I had started to wonder when Iplehouse itself was going to get sick of it. ^^;;

      Gothic_hydran126 -- http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?t=330002&page=2 (Didn't want to go way OT for this thread.) ^^;;;

    6. I am so getting this new EID Model when he comes out now, at least Iplehouse won't dissappoint me and stop production!

    7. I have to have this body too, I am a complete goner for it.

    8. Actually, that's not correct. "Real Skin" is only one of several colors that have been used for the LE Noctarcana Circus dolls. Jessica, Akando, Evan, I, and Ryan were all in "Real Skin." (Jessica was the only "Real Skin" Noctarcana release to have the UV-protection additive in her resin, and this seems to have slowed the greening process, but it certainly does not solve the problem, as Jessica resin samples have turned green when tested under sunlight.) In contrast, Kamau was released in a special "Dark Brown Skin," while Luo was a special "Brown Skin." Luna is a "Rose Gray Skin." Joshua, Jerome, and Vito were all "Normal Skin." Tania and Tatiana (both Pierrot and Trapeze editions) were "Cream White Skin."

      Not all of the Iplehouse urethane/French resin mix dolls are necessarily made in the "Real Skin" resin.

    9. That was really informative Kiya!!

      I really need them to release this boy in the cream white skin.

    10. I would love to see what he would look like with WS and NS, I bet he will be handsome;)

    11. I'm hoping to get more than one flavor... ;)

      btw...
      LMAO!!! :XD:

    12. Ohhhhhh, that is so helpful!!! Too helpful, really. I like the Realskin and Brown colors best.

    13. justsomerain-:lol: Yea baby ya know it;)

    14. Rawwr.. model body in dark brown skin would be yumtastic!

    15. Actually... that policy looks very sensible. Fees for going beyond the layaway period (60 days at Iplehouse) makes sense.

    16. I think the new layaway policy makes it even better. Before you only had the option of a 3 month layaway, but now if you needed longer and didn't mind paying a bit more you can do that too.

      Maybe I didn't do it exactly as I should have but with each of my layaways with Iple I didn't give them an exact timeline of when I would send each payment; instead I just sent along the payments over the course of 2-3 months after mentioning I'd be paying by layaway. ^^' With my Amy after I didn't send a payment for about a month they sent me a gentle 'please pay for your doll, we want to send her to you!' message.

    17. not trying tobe a pest:sweat
      but i believe the layaway at iplehouse is 3months= 90 days.
      at least that what their updated FAQ says right now.
      and that's what i did this summer for my kamau layaway.

      did not see anything about 60 days , unless i'm blind.....;)

    18. Wow, the Iple model body is nice! .... Jessica would not be so lonely ....

    19. Thanks Selurnis! Those pictures are VERY helpful!
      Ooooohh I'm so sure now, if they release him in Real or Brown skin, my plans for my Desert Prince (Volks F31 sunlight) are ruined - the new EID will be my prince!!! Just waiting for pics of his face :love
