    2. I wonder if the price on the basic doll is off. EID male's base price is $670 and the $789 would be would the base and ebony skin added together.

    3. Patrice ,although I agree the base price is indeed off, he does come with Real Skin as standard.
      The base price of $670 is based on NS/WS - RS is $96 extra, so it should be $766 as base price.
      It's rediculous to add nearly $200 extra for just Ebony Skin :-/

      In CDS , an Ebony EID male is only 876$ .

      But! Taregan does include Geta feet as standard, for some reason *_*

    4. I asked them about the price difference because something is definitely off there. Getting Geta feet does not justify that kind of price hike.

    6. Maybe they've realized that they kinda have a niche in the market on the ebony? I ordered mine in Lt Brown, with spear, and he still comes out to a hefty price tag. Maybe they figure they can charge that much because of how limited this doll is. I mean, they have insisted they're not going to ever release Elder Guardians as basic or in the Custom Doll System.

    7. I wonder if/hope they'll decide to offer it if enough people ask. I'm also curious about the hands. It looks like he comes w/just a basic right hand & a "holding" left hand for the spear. I might order a spare pair of hands for him so he's not always in "holding" position.

    8. Loke that necklace and first wig! I really like his features, but wow, that's quite the price increase for the blank doll!

      That's true, and I've wondered if there wouldn't be a general price jump, but that hasn't happened (yet, anyway) so $100+ more than getting an ebony doll via the CDS just seems strange.

    9. ah I haven't looked at the basic dolls in so long that the price difference didn't hit me at first. I'm sure it has a lot to do w/the limited-ness of the doll, also it looks like their ebony resin is getting to be a nicer color & more consistent. That might have something to do w/it, too.

    11. I got mine several different hands sets because I like to use them for pics, but yes, he appears to come with a default hand and a spear hand. He comes with default AND geta feet though, which is cool for me cuz' I was going to have to order those too. My character wears a lot of sandals.

      Really? That one was also a Limited Guardian, right? But he had all those special armor parts, too.

    12. That must have been with all the gorgeous armour though, right? Because the base price on Claude (and the extra for RS) was the same as any of their other male SIDs. Taregan is the first one with an increase in price on the doll itself.

    16. The body paint would probably be really fragile. I love that you can see the brush strokes in the acrylic - because it actually looks like clay smeared on with fingers like the Kobo do - but that means it would chip like hell because sealing over it on ebony skin would be impossible to do without a lot of chalky bloom.

      And not just because I happen to dislike that sparkly woman-abuser. I analyzed faces for a living for about a year straight... I don't see it. Wider jaw, utterly different bone structure, massively different mouth muscles and shape...

    19. So I asked about the body paint option and they said that because it's too difficult to do, they only did it for the promo photos. And Taregan's only going to be available for purchase now and won't be offered for sale again.

      I really like the sculpt, but to purchase him as a basic doll even is way out of my budget. I sadly can't afford him.

    20. They told me that the price for him was correct because you get the Geta feet. All I can say is that those are pretty darn expensive feet.

      They also said that they didn't have time to prepare a tan version.
