      I still want you, Taregan! *shakes fist* If they offered that body art, can you imagine how long you'd be waiting for your doll? As if 2-3 months isn't long enough already, you'd probably be looking at somewhere around 6 months. Yikes! @_@

      $899 for light brown skin, faceup (no beard), strongarm body and general mobility
      +$25 for light brown geta feet

      $999 with light brown skin, faceup and strong general mobility
      "Free" geta feet

      So for $75 you're getting a limited head. Typically for $75 you could buy an entire outfit for a doll, or fill your SUV with gas! Yikes! @_@

      I wonder if this is pre price-hike pricing for the new year. Not that Iple has said anything, but as we all know, doll prices, like everything else, seem to go up every year. Maybe they're just testing the waters? Dunno. It's all just speculation.

Yeah, I'd love to see an announcement some time in the next month if that turns out to be true - For myself anyway, I'd be more likely to order Taregan if I knew that the other dolls would soon be in line with his price. Plus that would probably be as much (if not more) of an incentive as the Christmas event for end-of-year purchases for people wanting to avoid the prince jump!

    3. Oh rats! I really wanted to see a LT version....(grumble).

      I'm trying to remember how much Toyko Tedros was...he had the Geta feet...but that might have been an extra option....

      All this pricing info....is confusing.

The doll and costumes are great but I am still undecided if the price is worth it plus with all those greening talks I have been hearing regarding tan, brown or ebony I am really reluctant to take the plunge till iph can assure me my doll won't be affected in the near future....1k+ is a lot of dough in this economic depression....

    5. All resin will change color if left out for long periods of time in direct sunlight or in door lamp lights. It's best to cover your dolls or put them in boxes when not playing with them. Iplehouse has improved the resin from changing colors on their darker skin dolls. You can always ask them on their Q&A board on the website.

    6. I've had my TS Tedros for over a year now & haven't noticed any discoloration. I keep his geta feet & spare hands packed away & color-compare from time to time. My RS Akando is a few months older & is also still in great condition. The only 'special care' I've given either of them is to cover Akando when it's especially sunny in my room. I haven't heard of any of the Sword Dance Kamau dolls changing color at all, & I know one guy who takes his outdoors regularly.

      All of this to say that I think Derilan85 is correct in commenting that Iplehouse's resin has gotten more stable... at least from what I can tell.

    7. I agree - and I think it's less a threat with the darkest tans too. I have an old Lt Cocori who has greened, but my even older (2007ish) Dk Aaron has kept his colour (ditto my Noctarcana ebony Chase - nice stable colour).

    9. I am confused why you guys are saying the geta feet are free? Below the tattoo information notice it says this:
      ** Only Basic foot parts are basically offered. If you want EID_man Geta foot parts , please purchase them separately.
      I still love him and will probably cough up the $$$$, but it is going to take a lot of coughing!

    13. That really helps! Bummed about the feet but I would rather buy those than pay $180 for that gorgeous dark skin. I need this guy. I am obessing over him. I think he will be my Danny Glover in my western Silverado bunch. I am so sorry I had to pass on Dexter, but Taregan will spice things up a bit more. YUMMY!

    15. At least, we can all still purchase Dexter via CDS/basic (at least, I hope so). I really want Taregan, but I'm going to give it a lot of thought first. I just got the opportunity to purchase my grail doll via layaway so to add another layaway so soon is gonna be a killer. XD

      Ooh! It would be awesome to have the strongman arm option!

      The SH body with the Strongman arms was what I ordered, as far as I know they are offering it, or they were on Nov 1st.

      EDIT: OKay, crap. I just checked Iple's site and there's no sign of Strongman arm option I could have sworn I selected when I ordered. What the heck are they doing? Will I get what I ordered or what's up there now? I've posted to their board to ask.

      I also asked about the strongman arm. I'm curious if removing the geta feet was unintentional, or if they'll include them if you order the shoes. Either way, it's about $30 for ebony geta feet (innit?); I think the $120 price cut on the ebony resin will allow some extra cash for them, if it turns out I have to actually pay for them separately.
